The festival also includes displays of arts and crafts, a children's show and a day care ' area (which is available from 2p.m. to 6 p,m. on the grounds). Parking will be taken ` On Sunday, June 29 care of nicely with everyone parking at Harbour Beach and a shuttle bus giving you a ride up the hill to the show. How about that! They have a terrific lineup of music groups, a festival tent, a beef and chicken barbecue, plus art and craft displays. Be sure to get your weekend pass - and start praying for some decent weather to support this endeavour - CANADA WEEKEND - June 27 to July 1. weekend - Founders Day, June 29 with the theme "Friendship Days". So, there will be the Optimists Music Festival and ail their big program and the Lions big program. Also, on Saturday there will be an air show from 2 to 4 p.m. with a pancake breakfast or brunch from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Sailing Club will hold their Lasar Regatta on June 28 and 29. The Legion dance will be in the evening after the starting at 9 a.m. there will be a bike tour and scavenger hunt with the Friendship Days Parade at 2 p.m. The Optimist program - music festival, beer tent andthe 2 p.m. barbecue will be on Sunday. Lions Club has a barbecue at 7 p.m. Sunday in Cour- thouse Park and pancake brunch at noon. In the evening the Knights 'of Jazz will perform. Luckily there will be a .list of events which everyone can have and Morrie Economist appointed Grace Bird, Home Economist fpr Huron County, is pleased to announce that Loralee Marshall has been ap- pointed as Home Economist for Huron County. They will be working together out of the Agricultural Office in Clinton. Upon graduation, she was employed by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food as the Home Economist for Leeds and Frontenac Counties.. After her marriage, she joined the Centralia College Staff as a lecturer in Community Home Economics and Food Service . Management. She and her husband'own a dairy farm in the Kirkton area. On July 6' the Ayr Kinsmen' Band is at Harbour Park Bandshell and on July 10, 11 and 12 the Festival of the Arts will be in Courthouse Park. The fanners' Market held under cover at the grantjstand, should be livelier this Saturday morning - lots of fresh vegetables and ' other goodies - like baking - and the crafts toles. The MacKay Hall is about to have sorpe big renovations.. She sings in a choir and enjoys playing the flute and piano. This summer, Joanna would like to babysit or do odd jobs such as house cleaning and gardening.
