"However, we were afraid that too many people would be wanting to eat in our town following the air show ___sad --we —jLLsteau-ldn --- accommodate them all. It (the church suppers) was tried , during the sesquicentennial celebrations and worked out quite well, so we thought we would call on the churches for some assistance again." On Sunday, June 29 there will be a Canada Week parade here with two main themes: "Friendship Days: Helping Our Neighbours" and "Founder's Day: Then and Now". Doug Bundy and Chief King are heading up the organizationof the parade which they hope will include floats from many communities, local" businesses, service clubs, etc. ' June 29 is actually the anniversary of the founding _of Goderich which is the reason for thel Founder's Day theme. Floats with this theme should contrast the old and the new, reminding us of our heritage and looking forward to the future. Because of our close ties with ,our. American sister city, Bay City, Michigan, a second theme of Friendship Days has been chosen. "We hope to see floats depicting some of the .. traditional tiospifality between the two coun- tries," says Mac Cam- pbell, Tourist Committee chairman. "Goderich has been taking part in the St. I..
