Duck stop
LIST•OWEL - Motor
vehicle drivers know
who's boss in Listowel. At
least they did last week
when traffic in both
directions came to a
quick halt to allow a
group of pedestrians
cross the highway.
But of course the traffic
may have just stopped for
this particular group, for
the mother and her five
children were ducks. The
strange little brood knew
their rules and waddled
across the road, with
mother in lead, at a
school crosswalk. It is
reported that the family
was on their way to an
outing at the Maitland
River.
