The group discussed the work and the purpose of the UCW- and Edna Jervis received the of- fering and Muriel Grigg gave a reading. In the absence of the president, Jean Ginn and Phyllis Cox conducted the business and pennies were collected for the roll call. The UCW agreed" to make a donation to help with the renovations to the Sunday School rooms. WI MEET President Millie Dempsey opened the June meeting of the. Goderich Township Women's Institute (WI) with Sarah Storey at the piano. The group discussed horticulture and Helen Fuller showed slides on flowers and bedding plants. The past presidents were all honored and Mrs. Dempsey read their achievements and each was presented with a silver, spoon. The plant auction took place with Barb Betties as the auctioneer and lunch was served. Goderich, graduated Friday, June 13 from the University of Western Ontario (Huron College) with an Honors B.A. in history. Attending the graduation ceremony were her parents and Mr. and Mrs. William Chase and family. Mrs. Witter is the wife of former Goderich Police Sergeant Mery Witter. She was an em- ployee of Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich before She and her family moved to the Windsor area. .
