That win leaves the Vikings with five wins and one tie in their six game schedule, and gives them home field advantage in the playoffs which •began Tuesday when the Vikings took on Central Huron here in sudden - death semi-final action. If the Vikings won that game, they will advance to the finals •here tomorrow (Thursday) at 2 p.m. against the winner of the other semi-final between Mitchell and • Wingham. On theseason, the junior Vikings, who are coached by Randy McLeod, scored 25 goals while giving up only 10. Karl Krohmer had nine goals over the season, followed by Mike Wedlock who had seven. Colin Alexander booted three while Jim MacDonald and Scott' Collins had two each. Joe Morrissey and Scott Bell had the other Viking goals. 'l'he senior Vikings closed off a not nearly so successful season with a 2-0 loss to Mitchell in the second game Thursday. Although coach Del Almeida's Vikings won only two while losing four and finished sixth, out of playoff contention, several 'of their losses were by only one goal. The loss here to Mitchell was typical; with. , t'ii:e Vikings being unable to capitalize on their good chances while Mitchell got -both their goals from scrambles in front of the Viking goal.
