Mr. and Mrs. Ben Mole

tions in Lucknow on Sunday
for his brother, Harvey Mole.
Congratulations Harvey!
As many of our older
residents know, Dungannon
had a newspaper of its own
back in the early 1900s. An
original copy of a 1915 paper
sent to I. K.' Dawson by Mr.
Benson Case, has been re-
printed and is" for sale at
Dawson's Store if anyone
wishes a copy.
About 75 persons gathered
at the agriculture hall on
Sunday, to honour Bill Reed
,of Goderich on his retirement
after 13 years from Champco
in Goderich. It was also an
occasion to celebrate his
birthday. The ,event was ,
arranged by his two daught-
ers, Lynda ,McNee and Pat
Thomson.
Several families enjoyed
-the fireworks at Allister and
Carol Nivins' on Saturday
evening,, They held them one
week later due to -the damp
weather conditions the hbli-
day.weekend.
A report in from the enter-
tainment committee concern-
ing the 125th birthday cele-
brations, remindsus of the
dance to be held at the
community centre in Luck -
now, and of a donkey base-
ball game ori Tune" -15th.
Mrs. Douglas Priestly of
Bradford, England, spent
several days last week with
Jim and Margaret Errington.
The two ladies have corres-
ponded for' 40 Stears. Mrs.
Priestly was not born in

Ontario. On Sunday the
threesome visited with Mr.

Stratford.

day, _at the home of their
daughter and son-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Thomas
and family. The other mem-
bers of the family were also
there to help Tom celebrate
