CT . ich Art Club opened
a ,free art exhibit at the
Croderich Public Library
that will run through May
31.
The exhibit features 25
paintings by local artists
offering a variety of
styles in acrylic, oil, oil,
pastels and watercolour.
The openitig night
display also featured
hand painted china by Flo
Warnock.
The artists par.-.
ticipating in the exhibit
are Katinka Dorrance,
Annie Finnigan, Edna
Johnson, Gladys Ladd,
Lu Legg, Beulah Long,
Colleen McGuire, Gailya
McGuire, Hollis Manske,
Edwina McKee, Barbara
McWhinnie, Jean Prest,
Jeannie Smith, Lorna
Vincent and Mabel
Young.
The display also
featured two posters that
were ,painted by t -he
club's First president,
Mrs. Alex Smith. The
posters were painted
several years ago for a
Bayfield Fair contest.

APPOINTMENT
The appointment of Mr. Stephen R. Symes to the
position of Corporate Group Vice -President of
Finance and Administration has been announced by
Mr. J.C. Freeman, Group President and Chief
Operating Officer.
in his new position, Mr. Symes is responsible for
the Corporate financial function of the champion.
Group of Companies at its head office in Goderich,
Ontario.
Mr. Symes received his Bachelor of Applied Scien-
ce from the -University of Toronto and is also a Char-
tered Accountant and a Professional Engineer.
Prior to his new appointment with Champion, Mr.
Symes was employed 'tvlth The Clarkson Company
Limited and Woods, Gordon & Co. in Toronto.
