The success of regional
concerts hinges on
sponsorship by groups
and individuals, in-
cluding a corporate'
sponsor. The support of
thp Ontario Arts Council
has been noted by the
many communities as
well. While capacity
houses and standing
ovations are in-
vigorating, the ,frequent
bus rides in uncertain
weather, coupled with a
very demanding
schedule, offer a for-
midable challenge.

He said,. "We are sup-
posed. to play a critical
role and that is difficult.
But, we do make vital
statements to show - in a
concrete and tangible
way that we can be
positive as well as
critical."
The guest speaker
