softball team will open
their second season this

Q,n Friday, May 23 the
Little Plumbers will play
their opening game of the
season against Milverton
at 8.30 p.m. at
Agriculture Park.
This season the
Plumbers will battle in a
10 -team league that in-
cludes teams from;
Milverton, Moorefield,
Shakespeare, Waterloo,
Norwich, Oshweken,
Dorchester, Waterford
and Kitchener.
The Little Plumbers
have signed five new
players for the 1980
season in Heather Cowan,
Audrey Smith, Dianne
Snell and Denise and
Diane Mitchelmore.

Robertson Memorial School held its annual Track Day on Tuesday and its field
competitions today at the Agricultural Park. Events included the 200, 400 and
800 metre relays as well as hurtles. Here, a group of girls run in the 200 metre
sprint. All first, second and third place winners of the two days' races will
travel to Brookside school on Thursday May 29 for the regional competition.

The Hawke wins
Ice breaker. Regatta
The local sailing club
held its inaugural regatta
this past weekend with a
total of three races being
sailed. All three races
were sailed in a com-
bination of rain, fog,
gusts and near calm
conditions. At times
visibility was less than 50
meters.
Steve Youngblut sailing

came out the overall
winner, dispite a broken
boom for the last 11/4 mL
in the final race.
Youngblut will be 'the
first recipient of the
Huromic Metal
Industries Trophy.
