These girls were just three of 190 joggers from G.D.C.I., including four teachers,
to participate in the school's fifth jog -a -then Monday to raise money for the
development of an athletic field. The 10 kilometre run brought in pledges of $3,900
with Bonita Pollock raising the highest single amount --$340. Tony Laurence was
the first male to complete the run and Denise Connelly was the first female to

Bedard Sunset men's' night
All is ready for another
season of golf at the
Sunset! The clubhouse is
open daily and the
membership campaign is
in full swing. The rates
have been held with no
increase and you also
stand a chance to win $100
in cash by joining before
May 23.
The course seems to
have w ntered well and
all 18 holes- are open. If
you feel a bit rusty after
the long winter, the
driving rangeis also open
for those practice shots.
The first . Men's Night
was held last week and
will continue to be held
every Tuesday night
(rain or shine) through to
the end of September.

gross and George
Williams won low net.
First flight winners were
Al Pennie, Issy Bedard,
Ralph Schefter, Dave
Bedour and Tony Bedard
Jr. Second flight was won
by George Bolton, Jack
Gould, Bill Thompson,
Ralph Kingswell and
Marty Buchanan. There
were -three winners in
third- flight: Coley
McDonagh, Vic Powell
and Bill Jones.
Congratulations fellows.
The men have a field
day planned for Sunday,
May 25. More details on
this event will be in next
week's column.
The ladies are very
fortunate this year as
they have Tony and Bob
who are willing to donate
• •
their time with golf
lessons. The ladies meet
at the driving range on
Mondays at 6:45 and get a
chance to iron out all
those problems that have
kept their games so high.
If you plan to participate
in these sessions, join the
ladies next Monday, May
19 at the driving range.
On Monday, May 19 the
first mixed two -ball party
of the seasgn will be held.
Vikings win two

Vikings boosted their
Huron -Perth Conference
soccer record to three
wins and only one loss
with a pair of victories
last week over Clinton
and Listowel.
Flaying here Tuesday,
coach Randy McLeod's
Vikings totally
dominated•- Central Huron
to win 6-i Karl Krohrner
had two goals for
Goderich. Singles went to
Scott Bell, Scott Collins,
Collin Alexander .and
Mike Wedlock.
Defensively, Wedlock,
Bell and Joe Morrissey
led a 'strong Viking effort
which .kept Clinton from
moving the" ball ef-
fectively.
The only Clinton goal
was scored by Bill
Tee off titnie for nine holes
of golf will be at 3 p.m.
(please note three
o'clock). Following golf,
there will be a pot luck
supper. People wishing to
attend are asked to sign
in at the Pro Shop. Randy
and Anne Miller will be
hosting these events this
year, so let's have a fine
showing for the first.

The game was tied 2-2
with only five minutes
remaining when Kroh -
mer headed a loose ball
into • the Listowel net.
Thirty .. seconds later
Alexander scored his goal
on a free kick to ensure
the Viking victory, Rob
Little, Dave McDonald
and Jim MacDonald had
strong games for
Goderich.
The. Vikings gave up
the first goal of the game
but Alexander tied it up
with his first goal on a
penalty shot. The Vikings
had many of their shots
go wide of the Listowel
goal and in their own end
had difficulty clearing-
-the
learing"the ball from the front of
the net on theoccasions
when Listowel scored.
The senior Vikings are
now 1-2, won lost,
following two losses last
week against Clinton and
Listowel. Clinton
defeated Del Almeida's
Vikings 2-1. Randy Little
scored the lone Go Ierich•

Listowel edged the.
Vikings 1-0. The Vikings
played well but were
unable to finish off their
plays in the Listowel end.
