Mrs. R. Buchanan, President of Tiger Dunlop W.I. wlcomed the ladies who were soon enjoying the delicious luncheon and an af- ternoon of euchre. Mrs. J. Horton and Mrs. R. Jewell were in charge of the cards and awarded prizes: high score, Mrs. Jane Glousher, Auburn; low score, Mrs. Irene Oke, Goderich; lone hands, Civic Corner Monday, May 12-6.30 p.m.- The day nursery committee will meet in the mayor's office. Monday, May 12- 7.30 p.m.- Council meets in the council chambers. Tuesday, May 13- The Maitland ,Cemetery Board will meet at 3.30 p.m. in the council chambers. The committee of ad- justment will meet. at 7 p.m, in the mayor's of- fice. A meting -of objectors to. the Suncoast subdivision plan is scheduled for 7 p.m. at .the Assessment office. The fire committee will meet in the fire hall at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 14 - The Housing Action Committee will meet with the Plan 21 • property owners at 7.30 p.m. in the council chambers. ACh IEVEMENTNIGHT Achievement Night for the 4-H Project "Your Corner of the World" was held at Brookside School, Thursday, May 1 with a splendid attendance of interested 4-H members and' leaders. Tiger Dunlop 4-H Group with leaders Helen Brindley and Mrs. Ken Brindley had an exhibit called "Super' Storage Suggestions" with Tresa Cannon and Tracy Hill as commentators. Barbara Clark and Rhonda Bean received County Honors for completing six projects. This group will be starting a new project on May 12, "Outdoor Living", which should be especially interesting to young people, both boys and girls. SOCIAL NOTES Mrs. Helen Townsend of Meneset has been .a patient in Goderich Hospital,. Mrs. Beatrice Geiger of Zurich visited her sister Mr. and Mrs. Gordon J. Keating on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Kubik and chiLdren.Patty and Eddie of Meneset spent the weekend in, Kitchener visiting Mr. Kubik's mother and family. Westfield Fellowship' Hour Church was the setting when William Roy Samuel Taggart ex- changed wedding vows and rings with Sandra Marie McClinchey before Pastor Wesley Ball. The • church was at- tractively decorated with candelabra holding pink carnations, white daisies with blue baby's breath. Easter lilies and bouquets of daffodils adorned the windows and these were centered by an,open Bible flanked by candles and a floral arrangement. The daf- fodils were picked from his garden by the groom's brother in Victoria, B.C. the day before the *edding. The groom is the son of Mr. and' Mrs. William Taggart, Victoria, B.C. and the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garth McClinchey, RR 1, Auburn. Mrs. Barbara Day was the organist and ac- companied Larry and Charlotte Hutchins, 'cousins of the bride, who sang solos and a duet. Given in marriage by her father, ' the bride looked lovely in a floor - length gown of white sheer georgette over taffeta featuring a small peplum and full skirt, extending to a train. The bodice had a lace inset trimmed with lace, high neckline and tiny stand- up collar and long 'full sleeves. She wore a large white hat trimmed with lace and a large white silk rose flower at back from which a long, two- tiered veil fell. She carried an arm bouquet of white lilies, pink roses, pale blue tinted car- nations with white baby's", breath and tied with a white satin ribbon. Miss Janice McClin- chey, RTU Auburn, was her sister's maid' of honour and the bridesmaids were Mrs. Karen Taylor, RR1 Auburn wand Miss Lorrie Hutchins, Goderich, cousins of the bride. Emily 'Sandborn of Montreal, Quebec, niece of the groom, was the flowergirl. The senior attendants wore floor length gowns of cotton voile with small blue flowers on a white background. The full MR. AND MRS. W.R.S. TAGGART skirts had tuck detail, bloused bodices and small stand-up collars. The long bell-shaped sleeves with lace edged long cuffs had similar tuck detail. All girls carried white umbrellas on their shoulders and folded them during the ceremony showing pink and blue flowers and blue ribbon tied to the handle. All wore silver lockets, a gift of the bride. The little flowergirl wore a blue eyelet dress styled in a pinafore fashion with frills over the shoulders and the bottom off the skirt. She wore small pink and blue flowers in her ringlets and carried a miniature umbrella -bouquet. The groomsman was Wayne Taylor, friend of the groom, RR1 Auburn and the ushers were Brian McClinchey, RR1 Auburn, brother of the bride and Ross Taggart, Victoria, B.C. brother of the groom. Michael Smith, friend of the bride was ringbearer. The groom and his attendants were dressed in blue tuxedoes with white ' shirts and blue trimmed frills. The ringbearer carr- ied a heart -shaped lace over satin pillow to hold the rings. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the White Carnation, Holmesville. Assisting the wedding party receiving t .e guests was the bride's mother wearing a street - length dress of Ciel blue guiana with matching lace bolero and bone accessories and a cor- sage of pink roses and white baby's breath. She was assisted by the groom's mother wearing a two-piece beige figured dress, brown accessories' and a corsage of deep rose roses with white baby's breath. Following , a short wedding trip, they will take up residence at RR1 Londesboro.
