Scoop seports that her furrows. have been straight. +++ Adult Basic Education in Goderich will be conducting a workshop for tutors on May 10 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Anyone interested in becoming a tutor to teach illiterates is invited to attend. - --Registration- fee and lunch and coffee will be provided. The workshop is being held in the new Huron County Library building at 66 Waterloo Street and Mrs. Freda MacDonald and Mrs. Terri Porter will be in charge. Interested persons should contact Mrs. Sheila Fink, at 524- 2934 after 6 p.m .• • +++ Ellen Murphy, daughter of Herb and Linda Murphy of Goderich, is performing this weekend with fellow students of the National Ballet School in Toronto at the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts. The• annual presen- tation, called "An Ev-ening of Dance," usually features the students from the graduating class; however, numbers made that difficult and Ellen was one of the younger students chosen to per- form a choreographed routine which demon- strates ballet movements. Ellen is 14 years old and in her third year at the National Ballet School. +++ Tb Murphy family is certainly a Ws, one. Griff, 16, is going to Ottawa on a Venture•and Citizenship Rotary ex- change on May 11 and will be in the city until May 15. McGee, 22, son of Bertha and Alvin McGee, has completed his Bachelor of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (B.A.Sc.) at the University of Toronto. The area is for anyone to enjoy and the students have raised all the money so far themselves with no burden to taxpayers.. Bruce is a graduate of Central Huron Secondary School, Trent University, and Queen's University. On Friday evening, May 16, the students of'Western High School in Auburn, Michigan will be. per- forming three free concerts at G.D.C.I. +++ The Rotary Club netted $473 from its recent paper • drive 'with 15.52 tons - collected. The next drive is Saturday, May 31.
