Thus, the need for a Multi-purpose centre for seniors. -is established. To helpful lfil the needs of seniors in different ways, a multi-purpose Centre reaches out to all segments. First of all, the Centre is a building which isthe focal point for senior activities and services which are limited only by the resources (money, people, ' equipment) available. A Centre for Senior's should be a place of open doors for people to come in and go out better prepared to take their places in the community. Mrs. Pearson's advice to the MacKay Centre Seniors was to first become established, then reach out to others, especially the frail elderly. Some services which are a help to this segment are .foot care and wheels to meals. Irene Harnack thanked the speaker, all those taking part in the sing- song and Front Page Challenge, also Everett and Bea Sparling for arranging the program. Lunch was served by the committee, Allan and Phyllis McTaggart, Don and Mildred MacKay and Claude and Janet Kalbfleisch.
