ey on Saturday at St. Mich-

The first week iii May is
Education Week at . the
school. There will be various
events taking place at the
school that week to which the
public is invited to attend.
One important event is a card
party to be sponsored by the
grades seven and eight for
the seniors or anyone who is
interested in the area. It will
• d TLus day afternoon,
May 8th at 1:00 p.m. in the
Church Hall, There is no
admission and anyone inter-
ested in going should call the
school before that day. Lunch
will be served.

attended the 25th wedding
anniversary dance for Bayne
and Marion MacLennan at
the Lucknow Community
Centre on Friday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Antone Van
Osch and family visited in
Waterloo on Sunday with
Mr..and Mrs. John Van Osch
and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Hog-
an and boys of Glencoe spent
the weekend with his .par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Con
Hogan.
Joe Martin and sons of
Hamilton spent the weekend
with his mother, Mrs. Mari-
etta Martin.
the former Annie Cowan,
once owned the farm on the
tenth of Ashfield, West Divi-
sion, now owned by Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Stanley. Mr. Jami-
eson . had 'sold it to 'Mr. ' and
Mrs. Dave Forten several
years ago. Mr. Jamieson is
survived by a daught'4;Mxs.

dened .to learn of the death of and several grandchildren.

Bill Kempton passed away
in London and was buried at
Lochalsh cemetery during
the week.

attended the District Horti-
cultural Association meeting
in Chesley on Saturday as did
eight other members from
the Ripley and District Horti-
cultural Society.

The annual meeting of
Tiger Dunlop Women's
Institute held in Colborne
Township Hall, Thur-
sday, April 24 had an
attendance of 24 mem-
bers and two visitors.

enjoyed a pot luck lun-
cheon before the meeting.

of last meeting. The

Raising Committee.
