Colborne Central School presented this year's operetta, "Oliver" `Tuesday
night, April 22 and again tonight, Wednesday,- at 7: 30.'On Wednesday night,
Oiver is played by Laura Wark, left, and Chuck Egener is the Artful Dodger.
The cast is made up of mostly Grades 7 and 8 students with a few from

Mothers discuss nutrition_
La Leche League,
Belgrave held the fourth-
meeting,, "Nutrition and
Weaning", With a large
number of mothers at-
tending from as far away
as Goderich and Ripley.
The hostess of this series,
Mrs. Terri Korstanje,
was presented, with •a
book, "Nursing Your
Baby" by Karen Pryor,
as, thanks for having
opened her lime to in-
terested mothers.
The leader, Mrs.
Barbara Kerr, 'opened the
meeting with a. history of
the La Leche League and
its work' - in helping
mothers ' to breastfeed.
The mothers then in-
troduced themselves and
their little- ones and told
how they had -learned
about the Lea . Most
mothers had heard about
the LLL through :pre-'
natal classes and other
mothers.
Discussion was opened
.to consider the nutritional
make-up of colostrum
and breastmilk,, which i -s
the superior infantfood
for baby until 'the middle
ofthe first year. The
mothers exchanged ideas
on which foods weremost
nutritious when begin-
ning so-ti`ds;'and how to go
about introducing other
foods. ' Questions . about
weaning were Asked and
it was recommended that '
theprocess be gradual;
with lots of love.
Family nutrition was.
touched upon, followed by
a tasting time of three
kinds of poseidge2 with
lots of different,toppings
(no sugar) such as
granola, , raisins, seeds
and fruit: Many, came
back for seconds. -- ` .
