Doug moved on to the
semi-final to take on
Dennis Little. However in
the first game of this
series Dennis found a
way through Doug's
defenses and took a one
game lead in the series.
In the other semi-final
series Louis Stadelmann
managed to wintwo
straight over the strong
playing Brian Miller.
Brian Miller had a
trethendous season and
was considered a- power
to be reckoned with in
Level 1 playoffs.
In Level 2 quarter-
firials--Larry Gower
managed to yvint two of
three games against Bob
Fitzjames. Larry went on
to challenge Kirk tyndon
in the semi-finals. Larry
put up a good game but
Kirk managed to outlast
him and come up with,
two particularly strong
moves to take the first
game.
Kirk, incidentally, won
the most improved award
this year. This is the
second time Kirk has won •
this award.
In the other second
level semi-final series,

victory in upsetting Steve
Hammill in the first
game. teve will now
have to come up with two
wins in a row to move into
the finals.
Bridge Club sc
The Goderich Bridge
Club had seven tables in
play on April 15.
In North South play,
Pat Stringer and Verna
Worthy won first prize
with a total of 681/2 points.
Second went to Betty and
Ray Fisher who had 67
points. Susan White and
Bill Cochran came in
third with 641/2 points.
In the East West side,
top spot "went to Bill
Bradley and • A.
Weerasooriya with 92%
points. Second place went
to Theresa Donatis and
Arlene Gibbons with 70
and third was won by
Joanne Duckworth and
Lee Ryan with 691/2
points.
On April 22 there were
seven tables is play at the
Bridge Club.
