organized a bus trip for
local people to see, The
Nutcracker ballet at the
O'Keefe Centre in
Toronto last December.
The tickets were sold
immediately and
organizers recommeded
that similar projects
should be continued.
The committee has
been. discussing several
ideas for 1980. It plans on
finding ways of bringing
in family and children's
movies and apprc_ching,
the local theater owner in
view of many parents'
complaints about the lack
of suitable movies.
Recreation director
Jim Moore is heading an
Arts Development
Committee on the Lake
Huron Zone level. It is the
committee's intention to
work closely with Moore
and his group in par-
ticipating in the zone
