He. was born in Walkerton on January 12, '1920 to Arthur and E.mra Violet (Etsel) Dean. He attended • school in Southampton. • On January 6, 1945 he married M. Eileen Hyatt in Amsterdam, New York. She predeceased him on September 20, 1975. The late Mr. Dean lived in Amsterdam, New York until rnovtng to Goderich- in 1951 and then to Bayfield- in 1967. He worked as an office manager at Sifto Salt Evaporating Plant in Goderich. • — He served as a Lieutenant in World War II ,.with the Highland Light Infantry. He 'enlisted at Kitchener in 1940, served in England and was discharged in Stratford in 1945. He was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Clinton. He is survived by three daughters, Karen Dean, Mrs. Robert (Jane) Dick and Marianne•Dean all.of London; and- five sisters, Mrs. Maisie McPherson of London, Mrs. Marjorie Kastor of Walkerton, Mrs. Patricia Schumacher of Pain - court, Mrs. Jessie Schuler. of Southampton and Mrs. Ellen Gibbons, also of Southampton. • A funeral service was held at St,,Pet.er'.s:Ronaan_.- Catholic Church, Goderich on Friday., April 11 at 11 a.m: The Reverend Father A.F. 'Loebach and. ' the Reverend Father Joseph Hardy officiated. Prayers -were said at' Stiles Funeral Home on Thursday.evening,. April 10 at7:30p.m. • Interment' was in St. Peter's Cemetery, Colborne Toy$nship.- •Pallb.earers were Glenn Schumacher, Bryan Williams, Austin Hartman, Dennis Williamson, Mery Witter and Jack Brady. MRS. MARGARET Mrs. Margaret Jane Ramsay of Huronview, Clinton died in Huron - view on Tuesday, April 8 at the age of 96. - She was born in Goderich Township on May •30, 1883 to Johnson and Mary (Hanley) Mcllwain. She was married on October 9, 1912 in Goderich to William James .Ramsay. He predeceased her on July 10, 1964. After her marriage, pe late Mrs. Ramsay lived in New Liskeard for 18 years and then in Tim- mins before moving to Goderich in 1954. She was a member of Np.'th Street United Ch>.ir 'in Gaderich. Sbe is survived by two sons, Walter of:Kitchener and Charles of Wasaga Beach; two • daughters, Mrs, Maynard (Mary) Raycroft of California and Mrs. James (Jess') Murray of Beaverton; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was the last sur- viving member of a family of five children. A funeral service and, committal were held at Stiles Funeral Home on Friday, April 11 at 2 p.m. The Reverend Robert O. She was born in Goderich on March 17, 1919 to William and Jane (Stuart) Lumby. She was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Goderich. She is survived by her husband, William Asher; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Heather) Nichol `of Calgary; . one son, Stuart of Bayfield; three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Gertrude) -Stampfler of Burlington, Mrs. Charles (Margery) McLean of Goderich and Mrs: Wilson (Theda) McCreath of Goderich; one brother, Bill Lumby of Goderich; and two grandchildren. She was, predeceased by two children. A funeral service was held at McCallum Funeral. Home on Monday, April 14 at 4 p.m. The Reverend G.L. Royal officiated. Cremation followed at Woodland Crematorium, London. MRS. CORA B. BUCHANAN Mrs: Cora B. Bueharran--- of Goderich • died in University Hospital; London after a short illness on Friday, April 11 at the age of 87. She was born in Auburn On October 14, 1892 to Charles and Isabell- (Symin•gton) Washington, She was a 'Nursing Sister in the Nursing Corps of the U.S. Army in World War I. In 1922 she married Walter J. Buchanan in Chicago, Illinois. He predeceased he4 on December 5,•1957. The late Mrs. Buchanan was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Goderich. Sl,e'-rs-survived byone-- daughter, .Mrs. Ken Goderich. Minor Hockey president, Don Larder, was presented : with the James A.
