MITEriT27-th–e— Board of Directors of The London District Crippled Children's Treatment Centre approved a change of the Centre's name to • "The Ability ' Centre (a treatment facility for children)". • Subsequent to this ap- • proval, it came to the attention of the Board that the name "Ability Centre" was used by the Rehabilitation Foun- dation for the Disabled for their workshops in Southwestern Ontario. As • a result of this conflict of • name with another charitable organization. the Board of Directors decided that. it was • inappropriate to proceed -wtth the- ch-ange of- na n e - of the Centre , to "The Ability Centre (a treatment facility for children)". At a meeting of the Board of Directors on March 31, this matter was reconsidered and the Board approved a change in the Centre's name to "Thames Valley Children's Centre". This new name will be used by the Centre irnmediately and formally unveiled at a special ce*emony . in May. The Board of Directors of the Centre regret. any inconvenience caused to the -Rehabilitation Foundation for the Disabled as a result of the confusion arising as to the name change of the Centre. The easiest VI* of kite to make is a flat kite. This type of kite is also the oldest type. The direc- tions below are easy to follow — have fun flying your own idte. To make a kite you need: 1. a green garbage bag 2. about 20 feet of string 3. some tape 4. two sticks - one 36 inches long and another 30 inches long 5. ten strips of cloth 6. kite', string (this string can be bought at hardware store) Directions: 1. Make.a CrnRCwith the Kite flyers two sticks. See • the diagram for the measurements. Tie the two. sticks -together with' some string. 2. Wrap string aroynd the outside of the sticki. 3. Place the kite frame on one half of a green garbage bag. 4. Fold' the edges of the bag over the string and tape them down,. 5. •Tie a twelve foot tail of string onto the kite. Every twelve inches tie a strip of cloth. 6. Attach the flying string to the kite. See the diagram at right for directions. Despite a few drops of rain, these two freckle -faced lookalikes took advantage of a fine wind and a school holiday on Monday to partake in some kite flying in Agriculture Park.
