FRED DAY,-
BETHEL
PENTECOSTAL
TABERNACLE
The; question that every
person in the world has in
common with all other
persons Is: "How can
man,, born . of woman, be
justified with God?" •
Whether a man is
young or old, Oriental or
Western, he wants to
know how he can be
justified with his creator.
Tonight, all around the
world, people are doing
good works and hoping
they can earn
justification with God.
In Egypt, a mother
today, took a little baby,
went to a river and threw
that baby into the hungry
mouths of, crodociles.
Why did she do it? It is
her effort to be justified
with her God.
Somewhere today a
child was confirmed in an
effort to become justified
with}God.
Today. in some far
away land, a man took a
knife and cut his body In a
✓religious ceremony. Why,
did he cut his body? Why
does his blood flow from
his wounds? He is trying
to be Justified with his
God.
Somewhere today
thousands of people
bowed in prayer, facing
toward Mecca. They have
done it several, times
today already. Why all
those rituals? In sin-
cerity, they are trying to
become justified with
their God.
There is not a man or
woman, boy or girl who
would not like to think
that he or she is justified
with the God who made
him or her. We all want to
stand before our God
some day and be Justified
in his sight:
Who is right? Are the
Pentecostals right? Are
the Catholics right? Are
the Presbyterians right?
Are the Baptists right?
Are the Buddhists right?
Are the Jehovah Wit-
nesses right? Is the
e justified with God regardless of faith' -
Christian Science. doc-
trine the right one? Are'
the Mormons right? Who
is right? •
THE BIBLE IS RIGHT.
The WORD OF GOD is
right. It matters not what
our creeds say; it mat-
ters what the BIBLE says
about how a man, born of
woman, can be justified
before God. What mat-
ters is what God says!
If man has sinned and
God ' has. been sinned
against, then it is God
who must make the terms
cif reconciliation. Man
has- no right to say what'
those terms are.
I know of a little boy
who, when he did
something wrong, his
mother would go out in
the back yard. They had a
peach tree. They never
did have a peach grow on
that tree, for his mom
would grab onto a limb
and pull off a branch,
strip it of all its leaves,
come back to the house
and give thelittle bad boy
a WHAM, and say "Don't

you ever do that again."
He would say,
won't." She'd 'say,
"Hush!" He'd be trying
to talk and finally he
could and say "Mama,
what could I do to do
better?"
He didn't say, "Well
here's what I think about
it mother." It didn't
much matter what he'
thought. Because she was
the one against whom he
had sinned. He was the
sinner. And the sinner
doesn't say what the
terms of, reconciliation
are. The one sinned
against does that. Man
has no right to say what
he thinks. And yet the
humanistic minds are
saying, "Well I don't
believe a just God would
send anybody to hell. I
don't believe that a just
God would punish people.
I don't believe' this and I
don't believe that." They
have no right to believe
anything except what
God says.
We are all sinners. We
are the ones who have
sinned. It is God who
dictates the terms of
reconciliation.
What does God say?
God says you may be
justified freely by his
grace.
Do you have to join a
church? The BIBLE says.
"being justified freely by
his grace." Do you have
to turn over a new leaf?
"Being justified freely by
his grace." Do you have
to get baptized to be
justified? "Being ..." Do
you have to take the
sacraments to be
justified? "Being ..." Do
you have to live a perfect
life? "Being,.."
Bildad asked the
question thousands of
years ago: (Job 25.4)
"Hoy can a man, born of '
woman, be .justified with
God?"
Paul answered across
the centuries, "Bildad,
justified freely (Psalm
3.24) by his grace".
That is the way you get
justified. Anyone who
goes to heaven will go
,becausehe has come by
the grace of God and
accepted Gods free gift
of eternal life.
Romans 3:26 says:
"That He might be just
and the justifier of him
which believeth in
Jesus."
The Jew in the Old
Testament took a lamb,
killed it, laid it on the
altar. That Jew placed
his hands on thehead of
the dying lamb and
confessed his sins. God
saw the sins of that`Jew
transferred to that lamb.
That lamb became the
sacrifice so he did not
have to die. Either my

blood, must he shed or the
blood of an innocent
sacrifice must be shed for
me. A LAMB has died for
me, and God has seen my.
sins transferred to that
Lamb.
Remember how John
the Baptist stood on the
banks of Jordan and
announced the coming of
'Jesus? He did not say:
"Behold the king". Jesus
will be a king but not yet.
He didn't say: "Behold
the Priest." He would be
a priest, but not yet.
He didn't say: "Behold
our example". He would
be an example but not
yet.
The first and most
important thing about
Jesus is, "Behold the.
Lamb of God."
Now we do not need the
lambs any more. God's
Lamb . has come.
Anybody can be saved
who will look at that
Lamb on the cross and
say, "Jesus I know that
you died for me, and I
know that you took my
sins and paid for them. I
trust You as my Saviour.
"How can it be that
easy?" God wants you
back. God wants; ,to
justify you.
You say, "Is that all I
have to do? In my heart.
I just trust Jesus?"
That's all you have to do.
Years ago an old -lady
was dying in a southern
city. Her pastor was
called to her bedside but
he was out of the city. So
.a friend said, "I'll call my
pastor." This pastor
came and saw the little
lady on her deathbed.
The pastor said, "Little
lady, could I absolve any
sins for you before you
die?''
"Can you what?"
"Can I absolve any sins
for you before you die?"
"I don't know, you have
to qualify first."
"What can I . do ' to
qualify?"
She said, "Let me see
your right hand please".
He held up his right
hand.
"Now sir may I see
your left hand?" ,.
He held up his left
hand.
As she died, she did
say, "Oh sir you can't
forgive my sins. My
Saviour has scars in his
hands."
My name is Bildad.
'H,ey Paul, "down
through the centuries.
how can a man, born of
woman be justified with
God?"
"Bildad„' this Paul
talks back through the
centuries, "being
justified freely by His
grace ... through the
redemption of his son.”
That's how!"
