Games to play at birthday
parties with friends
BY
KATHRYN MacKAY
Birthdays are exciting
and happen to everyone. •
Some people like to play
games on their birthdays
with their friends.
1. Telephone. In this
game a group of people
sit in a circle. One person
thinks up a sentence and
whispers it to the next
person. This person then
whispers it to the person
beside him. By the tithe.
the sentence has gone
around the whole circle it
sounds totally different
and often very funny.
Sculptures. This game
is played in partners. One
person puts on a blindfold
or shuts his eyes:- -Bthi
dfolds can be made from

on March 22 and I would
like to join your birthday

Superman cake. I like
him.

socks or scarves. The
,person who is not wearing
a blindfold makes a funny
position with his body.
•
The other person has to,
without peeking, try to
imitate the position.
3. Memory. Everybody
playing this game has to
haye._a pen and a piece of
paper. One person brings
into the room a tray of
small things • that are
found•around the house.
Anything at all will do.
The people playing the
game look at the tray for
a few minutes and then
the tray is removed.
Everybody quickly
writes oh the paper all the..
objects on the tray they
can remember.
4, Shoes. Everybody at
the party takes off one
shoe and puts it in the
centre of the room. One
person shouts "GO" arid
all the people grab •one
shoe that isn't their own
and try to find the person
who belongs to the shoe.
Clumps. Clumps is a
guessing game that is lots
of fun. 'One person at the
party leaves the room
and all the others decide
what the person is. They
may decide the person is
a car, or a table, or a bird
— anything at all. When
the other person comes
.bark into the room he has___ _
to figure out what he is by
asking a question. The
questions can only be
answered with a `yes' or
'no'.
