Roses and daisies are most -_popular say local- florists BY JOANNE BUCHANAN Flowers play a essential part in nearly every wedding ceremony. They add color, beauty, freshness and perfume to- the oc- cassion. Since they are such an important element in decorating and creating atmosphere, planning well in advance of, the wedding day will insure picture perfect floral arrangements and set the scene in a most bei: oming• manner. ,._; The_ -.-_..br.ide-to-be can never contact the florist too soon. Often this im- portant task' is neglected until :the last minute, resulting in unexpected problems. Be sure to tell him or her all -the particulars: favorite . color of flower, your budget for-this_purchase, whether the ceremony will be- fennel or -in- formal, held indoors or out. The florist may also want to know the style of the bridesmaids' dresses and the height of each girl so everything can be specifically, suited down to the least little detail. Sometimes if a swatch of material from the bridesmaids' dresses can be taken into the florist, the flowers can be matched against it for color co-ordination. Disclosing the date immediately ranks high in importance as some types of flowers may not be available at that time. Be aware that seasons can influence the choice of color schemes. A . large amount of dried foliages may also be interspe'rse'd among the flowers to create . a natural out- doorsy atmosphere. An indoor sedding requires less casual floral .groupings so is more suited to traditional mixtures of roses', car- natkns or orchids.
