Speech promises much,

Legislature opened •this
week, with traditional
pomp and ceremony,
when the Lieutenant -
Governor drove to
Queen's Park in an open
landau, preceded by a 27-
-horse and rider escort.
Her Honour delivered a
lengthy Throne Speech
which promised much,
but gave few, if any,
specifics
Emphasis was placed
upon a nuclear energy'
strategy and industrial
exports. Other energy
initiatives were an-
nounced, including
"energy from waste,
synthetic liquid fuel, co-
generation, upgrading of
heavy ' fuel oil, small
hydro -electric
developments".
Also announced was the
creation of an Ontario
Export Development
Corporation to expand
exports of nuclear :power
