Sheardown of the Goderich P.U,C. were among the 1,400 delegates ,representing electric- utility com- missions from across the province attending the 71st Annual Meeting of the Ontario Municipal Electric Association (O.M.E.A.), March 3 and 4. The Association is the rs 320 municipal utilities throughout Ontario, the commissioners and councillors of which were elected to operate a speci 1i ed" municipal service and thus represent more than two million .residential, commercial and in- dustrial customers served by the municipal distribution systems, and who consume two-thirds of the electric power in Ontario. Delegates to the two day annual meeting held at the Royal York Hotel were involved in discussions on a number of issues that have or will affect their consumers. Topics ranged from the "cost of power" to the use of "off peak" power and the effect of Daylight . Q 1 11I - 1 . He served on town council for ten years and has been a Board of Education trustee for the last two. He is presently took part. The study was done by J.F. Rev. Bob DeGraw conducted Bible Study in the chapel on Thursday afternoon. Rev. DeGraw is filling in for Mrs. Prouty, who is vacationing in Florida this month. World Day of Prayer was held at Huronview on Friday morning. The Over 90 Club met this week in first north sitting room. Fran,k Bissett supplied the musical program, and the residents enjoyed singing along with ,the piano. Cookies and ' tea were served at the close. We would like to send special birthday greetings to Miss Margaret Mitchell, whose birthday is March 7th. Margaret comes down to the craft room each morning and' serves the residents tea, coffee, and a cookie. Margaret also, takes our special care residents to church each Sunday and to°other programs throughout the week. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Margaret for all 'the little services that she does for us in the home. Sympathy is expressed to the families of Mary McArter, , and Miss Maudie Kemp.
