afternoon to help
celebrate with all
residents whose bir-
thdays are in February.

into the third Goderich Brownie Pack during a special ceremony In Knox
Church hall on Monday evening. The poster above the girls marks the 70th
year of Guidingin Canada. On Friday, February 22 a mother -daughter
banquet was held for the third Goderich Brownie Pack, the third Goderich
Guide Company and the fourth Goderich Brownie Pack. Last Sunday the

was held at.Robertson
School on ,Wednesday
evening, February 20.
The theme of the
meeting was, "Do Your
-Own Thing" with four
members of the club.
demonstrating to the
group specific gardening
techniques..
Edith • Argyle showed
the results she had ob-
tained in planting small
seeds such as petunia,
parsley and lettuce seeds
and explained - the
procedure used.
Jessie Leitch
demonstrated three
methods of propagating
African Violets. •
Frances Wbrsell talked
about' the care and
planting of various types
of bulbs. She also gave
suggestions for planting
seeds from fruits to
provide exotic house
plants. Members were
challenged to plant some
see is—aid brine the •
plants to a future
meeting.
Bea Sparling gave an
interesting demon-
stration on the method of
starting new roots by "air
layering''' using
a philodendron plant for
this purpose.

Dashwood
lady dies
Adella (Bammie)
Fisher, one of Canada's
oldest residents. died in
Seaforth on Sunday, at
106. The -former Da.shi-
wood resident died in
hospital where she had
'been taken from Seaforth
Manor Nursing Home.
Born • in Alsace-
Lorraine in Germany on
March 17, 1873'she moved
to Dashwood in 1908.with
her husband Gottleih,
who died in 1922.
She is surviyed by five
children — Edna Weber
of Dashwood, Gertrude
Musser -of London,
Clarence (J.ack) of
Wingham, Louis of
Oshawa and Albert of
Regina. There are also 21
grandchildren, 4T -,great-
grandchildren and one
great -great grandchild:
