Cornish, president of the Goderich---Kinxrrren Club - with the charter. Ed Freeland, of Fort Erie, governor of district No. 1, extended a welcome to the-Goderich-Club. .Installation of the of- ficers was conducted by Banty Bantick of Toronto, general secretary, who was also the guest speaker. The officers are: R.H. Cor- nish, president; F. Skelton, vice-president; W. McGrath, secretary; S.H. Shenton; treasurer; D.J. Patterson, W. Ross and G. Bannister, directors. Panting -out that the club stands for - community service, he stated that there was need for community service in Goderich, and he felt the new Goderich club would do good service here'as the club in general had done in other communities. McClatchey,. president of the Stratford club was chairman, and presented _a__gaYel to the ._ Goderich club from the Stratford club which sponsored the program. Two large birthday cakes, the gift of Mrs. Dorothy Cornish decorated the head table. Jack McDonald was pianist. "Pop" Rogers, father of Hal Rogers, founder of the Kinsmen Club, was present. During the summer months he lives in Bayfield.
