Each deputy- governor is elected for a one-year term in March of each"year. Each deputy -governor is responsible for a number of duties. Generally he is to attend all district and council meetings; to 'keep the clubs in his zone informed on National policies and programs and to make sure that these are im- plemented by each club. This respon- sibility is to the District Governor, Mike Hoyles, from Listowel, one of eightgovernors across Canada who •in turn is responsible to• a National Executive led • by President John Green from Drayton. The responsibilities cannot be handled, by one individual..a.lone,-_and _for that reason the deputy - governor should have assistants. I have two. - They are Mike Drennan and Dave Cloet both from Goderich. ,Mike is responsible . for co- ordinating activities in the zone and also for raised by each of. the clubs . for • cystic fibrosis research. Dave is responsible for ' grading club bulletins and also acts as• the zone secretary. Each man has _.per'fo-rmedhis.duties very well.
