It doesn't matter ;what church you go to, maintains Mrs. Jewell, because "they all teach the same gospel." Mrs. Jewell's' husband died in January of 1961.. She still has one sister and brother living. Her sister, Miss M.M. Glen of Goderich will be 97 years 431d on February •26. Her brother, John Glen, 87, of Regina came to Goderich in November' to visit her while she was sick in Alexandra. Marine and General Hospital and stayed until after her. birthday. Mrs. Jewell has , six grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren, and three great -great- grandchildren. Although she was quite sick in November, she is recovering now. She still lives in her own home with the help ot`a live4w companion. Up until last year, she was still hooking rugs and growing ---a garden. Although she can't read newspapers anymore, she still manages to "keep up" on things. On her birthday, Mrs. Jewell received many cards, gifts and flowers. She also received a plaque from Premier William Davis, a letter from M.P.P. Jack Riddell and telegrams from Joe Clark and the Queen. Her nephew and his, wife, Glen and Marguerite Sinclair of Saskatchewan came to Goderich for her birthday too.
