Rev. Wittick conducted
the Sunday morning
service in the chapel. The
sermon topic was on wars
and the residents have
expressed many com-
ments this past week

and how informative.
Twenty-three residents
went to the Clinton Public
School on Monday af-
ternoon to see the play

children. We spent a
delightful afternoon
watching the play and
hearing the two choirs
sing. The residents felt
that the children did an
excellent job and enjoyed
the singing roles.
The Over 90 club met on
•first floor north on
Wednesday afternoon.
After Mrs. Elsie Hen-

entertained they were
served cookies and tea by
the volunteers.
Mrs. Coleman,_ Mrs.
Gibson, Mrs. McAllister,
Mrs. Grace Peck, Mr.
Chester MaWhinney, and
Mrs. Margaret Murray
had a game of shuf-

The van was well used
on Thursday, with a trip
to Ben Sowerby's son's
pig barn in the morning.
Andy Easton, Nelson
Lear, Ben Sowerby, Levi
Carter, Grace Peck,
Elsie Henderson, Eber

Chester MaWhinney had
the tour of the barn.
In the afternoon, Jim
Ruddock, Margaret
Jackson, Frank Crich,
Minnie Fowler, Grace

London to the open house
at Tweedsmuir Hall.
Bob DeGraw held Bible
study in the chapel on

Having Inst concluded
the Week 9f Prayer for
C1uistian Unity, and now
looking forward to the
Easter •season, there
comes to mind' the
question of our real
relationship with God.
The question is one that
should be addressed by
every individual and
searched with sincerity
and soberness. Looking
into Hebrews, Chapter 2
would give one a clear
picture of the earnest
application that ought to
be applied to the matter
of the eternal soul.
The writer of Hebrews
says, "Therefore", or
because you have
received a revelation
superior to that given in
the Old dispensation, by
one superior to angels,
"ye ought to give the
more earnest -heed;
lest...we should let them
slip".
We ought to pay close
attention then, or to heed
abundantly, the direction
given by Christ through
his disciples. The in-
structionis of utmost5-
importance in the matter
of eternal life. Without
close attention then, or to
heed abundantly, the
direction given by Christ
through his disciples. 'The
instruction is of utmost
importance in the matter
•of eternal life. Without
close attention one will let
slip or flow past or leak
out the important
spiritual directives of
Christ. Be watchful
therefore!
If the word attended by
angels was steadfast or
proved, true ,' and required
recompense of reward,
"How shall we escape?"
If one arifts and neglects,
how can he flee away or
hide from God's justfee?
You must avail yourself
e:ki great salvation".
The writer speaks of a
neW .dispensation. Not the
teaChing of the word of,
salvation but an actual
exPerience which is
God's gift to humanity.
This experience will of

thing of spiritual life is
deeper than feelings. TO
seek feeling from God is
•
the height of selfishness.
But how is' your record
before God?
Notice he spoke of
"signs and wonders and
diverse, miracles and
gifts of the Holy Ghast,
according to • his own
will". God must be free to
act accofding to His will.
How easy fox -us to limit
Him to a form or gift or
grace. He must be
allowed movement in line
with His discretion.
The writer will hardly
permit one's opinion of
himself to rise too high
for he reminds one of
David's words, "What is
man that thou art mindful
of Him and the son of man
that thou visitest him."
But neither does he
leave us in despair.
"But we see Jesus", in
verse 9, lifts the soul.
How can we scope that
phrase? Hardly possible
is it? Jes4s making
