fun the girls found their color

fluences for this year.
Leaders Mrs. Hildebrand
. and Mrs. Cartwright showed
the girls the wrapping knot,
the lark's head knot and the
square knot.
• The third meeting will be
held at the home of Carol
Seers.

Mrs. Mervin Batkin of
Clinton will be guest speaker
at the WI meeting Tuesday,
February 19 at 2 p.m. -The
meeting is in the charge of the
curator of the Auburn
Tweedsmuir History , Book,
Mrs,, Tom Haggift. Everyone
welcome.
HALL BOARD -
The February meeting of
the Auburn trustee board was
held last Saturday evening in
the Auburn town hall.

It was announced that the
fire insurance coverage was
raised. Ontario Hydro has
assured the -trustees that a -
light will be placed on the

Permission was granted to
put a fireproof box in which
to store the Auburn Tweed-
smuii• History book and other
books ' with pictures of,
Auburn's. past etc. in the
Auburn town hall and library
It was agreed ,that Auburn,
Michigan would be.invited to
come and join the activities
on the weekend of July 26 and
27th sponsored by the Auburn
and District 'Liens Club.
A lengthy discussion took
place about 'repairing the
town hall andlibrary room.
Misses Christine, Rhonda
and Jennifer Stadelmann of
Blyth visited last Sunday with
their grandmother; Mrs.
Eleanor Bradnock.

mage on May 10th.

Reeve Eileen Palmer said the town should be
thinking of enforcing its minimum standard
bylaw. She said the building in question "isn't a
total casualty but it certainly bears the scars of
war". She suggested the town "encourage the
owner to bring the building up to standard or

Marina fees up
Goderich town council accepted a recom-
mendation from ' its waterfront committee
Monday night for an across the board increase
in marine dockage fees. .
Fees at Snug Harbour will be increasing in
1980 in all cate'gories. Daily fees will be in-
creasing between one dollar and $1.50 while
seasonal rates will increase $10 or 75 cents a
foot. Costs for Dinghy Park will be going up five
dbllats.
The daily fee for boats of less than 25 feetwill
be $6 in 1980 while boats .from 25 to 30 feet will
cost $8.50 and boats over 30 feet will cost $12.
Seasonal rates will increase from $155 to $165
or from $7.75 a foot to $8.50 a foot and Dinghy
Parktosts will go from $25 to $30.
The recommendation offered no -explanation
as to the cost increases.
