The GDCI MidgetY boys
basketball team raised
their Huron -Perth
Conference record to
seven wins and only one
loss with a close 53-49
victory over Mitchell
here last Thursday.
Mitchell held a 24-23
lead at the half on the
strength of some good
shooting and it was not
until into the fourth
quarter that the Vikings
took the lead. Goderich
was ahead. by seven
points with three minutes
to go, but Mitchell shaved
that to just. two points
with 22 seconds left on the
clock. However, at that
point the Vikings' Doii
McCallum made two foul
shots to ensure the' vic-
tory for his team.
McCallum finished the
game with a total of 20
points. Paul Day added 14
and Mike Evans had nine.
Jeff Denomme had six for
Goderich and Dave More
had four points.

of the total of 62 minutes
