The Union squad won the first game of the series 8-3 and last weekend they won 2-1 in Listowel and clinched the best -of -five series with a 4-3 win in Goderich Sunday. Thejuveniles won the series in three straight games to k clinch the WOAA championship and will now enter OMHA •playoffs against Leamington. •• No dates have been set•for the best - of -three series. In Listowel the juveniles fell behind 1-0 after one period but scored twice in the second period and hung on for the win. Here Friday the Sailors thumped Elora 9-3 and -._Saturday they claimed. - their second straight win with an 8-5 victory over Wellesley. The . torfd' schedule caught up' with the Sailors Sunday as they dropped a 4-3 decisionto the Mildmay Monarchs in their third game in as many nights. The action leaves the. Sailors tied with Lucknow for first place with 26 points. Lucknow has an 11-6-4 record in 21 games while the Sailors are 11-7- 4. Mildmay is third spot in the division with 22 points and Wingham trails with 9 points. Oldtimers to host international tournament The first Oldtimers tournament to be held in Goderich will be hosted by the Goderich Old- tirners February 2_123 and '24. The International tournament will feature 12 teams in a double knockout format. Bantams meet Petrolia Sat The Lakeport Steel Bantams tuned up for their opening round of OMHA play 'winning two of three games last week. The Steelers ripped Clinton 15•-1, shaded Seaforth 4-2 and lost to London . 5-3 in an exhibition game last week. This weekend the Steelers begin their OMHA playoffs against Petrolia. The first game of "the hest -of -five series will be ,played here, Saturday, at 7 p.m. In Clinton the Steelers padded their scoring stats as they riddled the visitors for 15 goals. They led 7-1 after one period, added five goals in the middle'period and seared three times in the final period. Dave Gallow led the point parade with three goals and seven assists for 10 points.
