Catharines-, formerly "of Port Albert; two daughters,' - Mrs. Robert (Pat) Zimmer of Trent e , Ontario and Mrs. Cliff ''',(Shirley) McDonald of St. Catharines; and one son, Larry of Markham, Ontario. Interment was in Eden Mills Cemetery. HERBERT MILLER Herbert Miller, 87, a former 'resident of 74 Third Avenue, Schumacher, died on Saturday, January 26 at the Lady Isabella Nur- sing Hornein Trout Creek. He was born May 11, 1892 in Haliburton and moved to the Porcupine area in 1910. He married Hazel Margaret Orr on November 3, 1920 in South Porcupine. She predeceased him. The late Mr. Miller Members ' of the Schurnacher Fire Brigade' wer.e -pallbearer's. •• Legion members formed the guard of honor and sounded the Last Post and reveille. Interment was , in Tisdale Cemetery. . retired from the Ontario Northland Railway in 1962. He served with the' 87th Battalion,, Canadian Grenadier Guards in France and Belgium from 1915 to 1919 and was a charter member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch. 88. He WasalsoMa member of Trinity United Church, Schumacher Volunteer Fire Brigade, McIntyre Concert. Band and Royal Canadian Legion Branch 88 Concert Band. . . He had served a number of years on the Schumacher ` Public School Board too. He is survived by three sons, Thomas of Westhill, Neil of Acton and Lloyd of H-unt-sviile ; t -h -r -e -e daughters, Olive Lumby of. Goderich, Ann Bowman of Frankford and Lorna Hayes of Oshawa; 21 grand- children; nine great- grandchildren; and one sister, Stella McLeod of Iroquois Falls. A funeral service was held on, Tuesday, January 29 at the Stephens Funeral Horne Chapel. FREDERICK MCCULLOUGH Frederick McCullough of 128 Bruce Street East, Goderich, died in Alexandra Marine and General Hospital on Wednesday, January 30 at the age of 79. He was born in Goderich Township on March 26, 1900 to Simon' and Elizabeth (McConnell) McCullough. He married Elizabeth Pearson in. Bayfield on June 13, 1928. They lived in Goderich Township until moving to Goderich in 1934. The late Mr. McCullough was a labourer at Sifto Salt Block until his retirement. in 1965. He was a member of Victoria Street United Church. He is survived by his wile; five chitdre'n,` Mervin Douglas of Waterloo, "Gordon ' ben- jamin—pian, - Bruce Arnold of London; Mrs.. Roy (Shirley Diane) Hinsperger of. Waterloo; and Norman Frederick of ; Londonand' "13 grand- children. A funeral service was held surer Finiera.l _ Home, on Friday, February 1 at 2 p.m. The Reverend John D.M. Wood officiated. Interment was in the Maitland Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ray Barker, Hugh McCrostie, - George Hadden, John Craig, lm Morris and Gordon Walters. MRS. C. ELMER • -(M-AE DICKSON) TAYLOR Mae R. Taylor, wife of, the Reverend Elmer Taylor of 77 Edelheim Road, Albright Gardens, died on Thursday, January ,31 in West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Grimsby at the age of 81. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Dicltson of , Scarborough; three daughters, Noreen of Toronto, Mrs. John (Marjorie) Smeaton of Ottawa, and.Mrs. Gordon (X.avciynne) Jackson of London; three brothers, Thomas and " Melvin Dickson, both of Goderich and Fred Dickson of Kelowna, 'British - Columbia; three sisters, Miss Wilhelmina Dickson of Beamsville, Mrs. Ruby Dyer of St. Catharines and Mrs. Harvey (Cora) Bryans' of London; and eight grandchildren. Interment was. in Beamsville Cemetery. LT. -COL. DOUGLAS CHARLES NESS WILSON Lt. -Col. C. N. Wilson (retired Royal Canadian Pay Corps), died in Toronto on Thursday, January 24. He was born March .3, 1907 in Goderich to James and Louise (Gibson) Wilson. He attended Central School and Goderich Collegiate Institute and moved to Toronto in 1923. He went overseas with 2nd Division Signals, and served in Britain, France and the Netherlands. At the end of the war, on his turn to Cama, he remained in- the army, transferring to theRoyal ariadian Pay Corps, and was posted to Halifax, Ottawa, Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg. When he retired from the armed forces, he joined the staff of the Ministry ..Nati.onal.. Revenue from which he retired, about eight years ago. HP- survived by his wife, Mrs. . Doris (Williamson) Wilson of Toronto and his brother, Ronald J. G. ALFRED FRY Alfred Fry, -pastor, of 325 Lambton Street, Kincardine,passed away January 29, 1980, at the Kincardine and Djstrict General Hospital. Born in Newport, Isle of Wight, England, on March 13, 1900, he was the son of Wm. Henry Fry and Caroline Fry." He married Alice Lake in Kincardine on, "Sep- ternber6,1921. He is survived by three sons, Gordon Alfred Fry of RR 2 Ripley, Wm. Maurice .Fry, RR 4 Kincardine, Wm. Kieth Fry, RR 2•Goderich, and by two daughters Win- nifred (Mrs. J. Dahmer) RR 4 Kincardine, Margaret (Mrs. F. Haldenby) McKellar, Ontario. He is also survived by one brother Cecil of Kincardine -and two sisters Daisy (Mrs. Agle D_uggan.)_.Kincar-dine -and May (Mrs. D. Kennedy) Kincardine. He was a _member of the United Church. As pastor, he served at the Tobermory, Cargill charge and the Auburn charge. He retired to Goderich and returned to Kincardine in February of 1979. Mr. Fry also served in the Zion Church charge. The funeral service was held January 31, 1980, at the 'United Church in Kincardine with Rev. G. Paul officiating. Inter m en t K cardine. LUCINDA . SPRAGGE Mrs. Lucinda Spragge of Colborne Township died in Alexandra Marine and General Hospital On Monday, January 28 at the age of 91. She was born in Colborne Township on July 27, 1888 to William and Louise (Osmond) Walter. She was, a member of Benmiller United Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Spragge'_._. _..�_ ._ ries She Is survived by one sister, Mrs. Fred. (Sarah Elizabeth) . Davison of Blyth; and three, brothers, Lloyd, Osmond and Harry, all of Colborne Township. A funeral service was held at McCallum 'Funeral Horne ,<,on ' Wednesday, January 30 • at 2 p.m. The Reverend John Wood, officiated. Interment was in Colborne Township Cemetery.
