• • Mr. Harry Schuurmans of
London passed away at Vict-
•'oria -Hospital on Wednesday,
January 16 following a leng-
thy illness. He was in his
77th year,
Besides his wife, four
sons, John, Morris, Bert and
• ' Gerald (Mike) all of the
• London area and one daugh-
ter, Mrs. Tom (Betty) McGee
of Peterborough and several
grandchildren survive.

Coughlan said the mine hoped the project
would be complete in two to three weeks. The
manager said he.hoped to be able to call
workers back when that facility is ready to use
but would not,cornmit himself.
.He said if the warm weather breaks and road
salt is needed, that, plus the use of the outdoor
storage, may be enough to call th.e workers
back. •
He added he did not know what amount of
road salt was in storage in southern Ontario
• making it impossible for him to determine .how
long it would take to use what is available for
road crews.

The Goderich Fire Department was called
out a 2,30 p.m. Tuesday to a small grain dust
fire at the Goderich Elevator and Transit
Company. •_ _
There Was little damage caused by the fire
that sta rted in an empty bin.
Firefighters hosed down the bin and no
employees were evacuated from the area.
