died in Stratford Hospital
on Friday,. January 11 at
the age of 72.
$he was the daughter of
the late William' F. and
Matilda Sawyer Ban-
nister of Goderich.
She was a gold medal
graduate of Stratford
General Hospital: She

Company of Brantford as
staff nurse. ,
She was predeceased

that until the MacKay
Centre for Seniors
receives its charter, the
property committee will
carry on as before in
reining the hall and being
responsible for any
routine upkeep.
Town Council has
passed a by-law giving
members of MacKay
Centre permission to
solicit don-ations of
money from
organizations., ,clubs, and
citizens ' in Goderich.
Official receipts are
being printed according
to instructions written in
the by-law.
The membership
conveiner, Ellen Wirth,
reported that there are
now 100_ -members of the
Centre.
On Thursday,' January
23 at 2 p.m. members of
the Steering Committee
will meet in the MacKay
„Centre to discuss the
writing of a constitution.
The next event being
planned is a bingo night
on Wednesday, January
23 at '7:30 p.m. An ad-
vertisement with details
will appear in the Bulletin
Board of this paper.
