The Vikings split a pair .of exhibition genies in Sarnia, losing 56 -43 to St. Clair and defeating SCITS 42 - 40. The Vikings were up 15 - 2 over St. Clair in the first quarter, but then fell apart and later ran into foul: trouble against .a team they had beaten by 30 points earlier in ,the year. Here Monday the Vikings preserved their undefeated league record at 4-0 with an easy 95-23 win over .the Wingham Madill Mustangs. The Vikings led most of the way in their exhibition loss to Sarnia St. Clair, holding' a 22-17 lead after three•quarters, however, Sarnia came on to win by a 47-40 score. Coach Ray Donnelly described the level of competition ' as the best he has seen ' outside of the Ontario finals. • The Vikings had five wrestlers finish in the top six of their weight class , and thus earn points for their team. Many of the weight classes had over 25 wrestlers entered in. them, many from large urban 'schools in London, Windsor, Chatham, and Sarnia. • Brian Reed and Rick Mac Donald were both fifth in•their weight class. CHHL to, host 16 -team industrial hockey, tournament. The Central Huron Hockey League ,will host its Second, Annnai Indnstrial " Hockey Tournament- at the Goderich Conmunity Centre this Weekend involving 16 teams. The tournament features four'tearrre-frcym the CHHL, O'Briens, Sunset, Burger Bar and' Holniesville, and 12 area industrial teams. The tournament opens Friday at 7 p.m. with O'Briens of Goderich playing Zurith. The action Saturday begins at 7.30 a.m. and continues through to 10,30 p.m. while on Sunday the games begin at 9 a.m. through to 10.30 p.m. with the conclusion of the championship game.
