belonged to the Foresters
and Local 1863, Spec-
tators were treated to
some of the best curling
of the season in a game
that saw the lead change
hands on almost every
end. Within the contest of
foursomes an individual
battle . between . Forester
Jim Hawkins and union
rep" Glen Falkiner
• developed. Both- curlers
were exceptionally sharp
as they executed double
takeouts or near perfect
,;'draws - whenever their
skips demanded it. The
score was tied at five
apiece going into the last
end when the skillful.
Foresters engineered a
final four ender to end the
contest at 9-5.
A.M. and G.'s victory
was of asdramatic as
the rester triumph but
ed the hospital
foursome . to retain a
piece of -first place.
Denni's Miskie and Tom
Jasper quickly :showed

But perfect shots and a
"never say die'.' attitude
•resulted • in ;a strong
`comeback by the Victoria
teachers. In the final end,
excellent ,curling by Barb
Lade and Ron Ritchie'had7
put the game on the line.
Skip Taylor needed a
double takeout to
preservethe victory. He
madeit and protected a
close 7-5 win. .
Falkiner, Hawkins and
Taylor's clutch per-
formancesstood out even
more clearly since it was
not a night for close
games. Most. matches
were -like. th'e GDCI
Teacher ' No. •,l team's
triumph over ,the
Champion Office unit,
which saw some very
hard fought .ends but a
one-sided score.,The
teachers' 12-3 win left

The Goderich Juvenile
Bs continue to lead their
division on the strength of
three wins and tie in their
last four games.
In a : game played
December 21 the Bs
•, blanked Listowel 4-0 with
Kevin Budny picking up
the' shutout.
Then in 'a' home and
home series with Hensall,
Goderich racked up two
More victories, winning
4-1 and 7-1. In a game
against. Listowel Monday
the Bs settled for a 6-6 tie.
The three wins and a tie
improved the Bs division -
leading record to seven
wins against only three
losse's and two ties.
This Sunday the
Juvenile • Bs will host
Hensall • in a 4.30 p.m.
game 'at the Goderich
Community Centre.
