,Lions win ;three -off. to p -lay St. Lambert
The 'Goderich'` Lions
Pee Wees added three
victories to their win
column last,.. week,
defeating Listowel 5-2,
beating-Wingham 6-2, and
edging St. Marys, 3-2.
The first two were WOAA
league games while the
win in St..Marys was an
exhibition encounte'i' The
Lions league record now
stands at 14 wins and two
losses, while their overall
record is 19 wins, four
losses and two ties.
Rob Gibbons was the
star in the Lions 5-2 win in
Listowel last Thursday as
the little right winger
came up with his first -
hat -trick to pace the
Goderich attack. Grant
Darrow and Todd
Graham 'scored the other
Goderich goals. Graham
also had three assists to
his credit. Scott Stokes
had three assists and his
defensive partner Shawn
Rahbek had two. Mike
Collins and Pete Conlon.
each had one assist.
Dean Fisher scored
both Listowel goals in the
third. ' period ..:.after
Goderich had built up a 5-
o lead.
Here Saturday the
Lions gave another solid
two-way performance as
they overcame a 2-1 first
period 'deficit,' scoring
five unanswered goals to
win going away,
Trevor Erb and Shawn
Rahbek •each scored
twice for the Lions while
Grant Darrow and Todd
Graham notched one goal
apiece. Garrow, had a
pair of assists as did
hard-hitting defenceman
Trevor Martin. Graham
and Scott Stokes had one
assist each.
Tim Brown and Quinn
O'Donohue scored the
Wineham goals.
Sunday's exhibition win
in St. Marys was a bit of a
scrambly affair as the
- Lions seemed to have
trouble getting un -
•."tracked, but they played
improved hockey as the
game progressed The
first period ended n a 1-1
tie. Todd Graham got the
opening goal of the game
for Goderich on pass
from Trevor Martin. Paul
Ford replied for St.
Marys. Pete Budenham's
goal midway through the
second period gave St.
Marys the lead but Grant
Garrow combined with
Scott Stokes and -Trevor
Erb to tie it up again
before the end • of the
period: Erb scored"' the
only goal of the third

This weekend, . the
Lions are'off to Montreal
for a pair of exhibition
games with the St.
Lambert Pee Wees. The
boys, who will be ac-
companied by their
coaches Dick Madge and
Bob Dick and manager
Bill Rahbek, will be
billetted with the St.
Lambert players and will
be treated to a tour of the
Montreal area, as well as.
attending the NHL game.
at the Forum Saturday
between the Canadiens
and Philadelphia.

The Goderich, Sailors
are enjoying a modest
winning streak.
Last Friday the Sailors
blasted Wingham Royals
15=4 in their most
productive scoring
session of the season.
The win was the third
straight for the ` Sailors
and their `seventh of the
season against five losses
and three ties.
The teams tied 4-4 after
the first period with
Goderich scoring two
goals late in the period to
pull 'into •the tie. The
Sailor's took over from
therg ` scoring five times
in the second period and
completing the rout with
a -six-goal outburst in the
final • 20 minutes with four
of the goals coming on
power plays.. •

scoring assault on
Wingham with three
goals and ,two assists for
SignaiStas: win
two league games

On December X23 the
Stars avenged their only
