Madill Mustangs of Wingham, 51- 92. The Vikings started strong, leading 1(i - 7 at the end of the third quarter, but Wingham came alive in the second quarter, controlling the boards and outscoring the Vikings 20 - 7 to hold a 27 - 23 lead at halftime. in the third quarter. coach Myles Mur- dock made some adjustments which left the Mustangs off the boards and allowed the Vikings to regain the lead. The Vik- ings' press forced Wingham to turn the ball over and the Vikings were able to con- vert the turnovers into points. The Vikings also hit an impressive 12 for 17 from the free throw line in the second half. Scott Garrow had 21 points to lead the Viking attack. Byron Bowman, with 14 and Mike Bush, with 10 points, were other Vik- ings in double figures. Sean Wilson, with three points, Kevin Black, with two, and Andrew MacAdam, with one point rounded out the scoring. The Vikings played here Tuesday against Mitchell and travel to Palmerston to play Norwell Thursday. Level I will cover such topics as: Role of a Coach. Psychology of Coaching, Skill Analysis, Sport Safety, Training Methods, Seasonal Planning and Care of Sports injuries. Discover the interesting aspects of photography as it relates to camera handling, film identification, proper exposure under various lighting conditions, electronic flash. (East Gym) Fee: $20.00 ART PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH • ART KIDS is a program which originated with Mona Istrati- Mulhern in 1981 and is sponsored by the Goderich Recreation Department. The purpose of the program is to provide young people with a high, quality visual arts experience. The emphasis in the classes is to provide fun and experimentation through a variety of media and to assist "Kids" in gaining confidence in exercising their feelings and ideas. Creative and imaginative approaches to a variety of topics is emphasized and flexibility to the "Kids" responses is maintained. Two programs will be offered: A JOURNEY INTO FANTASY For Kids ages 10 - 13 years. We will journey into the realm of the imagination and creatively discover dragons, monsters and mazes, creatures from sources of nonsense and the outer limits of space, etc. Approaches to the various topics will be through drawing. painting, collage, mask making and mixed media. 10 - 1'/2 hour classes on Mondays. Starts: January 13, 1986 at 7:00 p.m. Goderich Recreation Department (Community Room). This course is designed for those students who have previously been enrolled in the "ART KIDS" Program. We will explore creatively with an emphasis on Modern Art Techniques. Basics of design. colour theory, com- position, etc. will be explored through a variety of media in- cluding charcoal, pencil, paint, "found materials" etc. 10 - 2 hour classes on Tuesdays. PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN CHILDREN'S LITTLE THEATRE - The objective of this program is to enhance Children's imagination, sensitivity, feelings and awareness. Their creative expression will he developed through pantomime. improvisation, creative movement, speech exercises and. of course dramatics. The Children will also be working on creating their own sets, costumes and characters. 8 • 2 hour sessions on Saturdays.
