The graduates include; Burns, Jean Dale, Veronique Harman and Marcel Richard. The students learned the basic skills of public speaking over an eight-week series of workshops. (photo by Barry Page) VVhite Gift Service at Auburn Story presentation "Only A Stable" was by Young Teens Class and the presentations of white gifts followed which go to the Fami- ly and Children's Services, Christmas Bureau. Offering was received by Grades 3 and 4. The minister announced that the Sunday School Concert would be on Saturday, De 21 at 8 p.m. at the church. Next Sunday will be Holy Communion Ser- vice. PERSONAL NEWS William Anderson of Newmarket visited on the weekend with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Anderson. Several Auburnites attended the Blyth Festival of Singers at the Blyth Memorial Hall on Sunday. There were six tables in play at the week- ly euchre in Auburn which was held Tues- day, Nov. 26 at the Community Hall. High lady was Frances Clark, low lady was Anne Glousher, high man was Ken McDougall, low man was Ted Mills and novelty was Or- val McPhee. Euchre parties are held every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. at the Community Hall. KNOX UNITED WHITE GIFT SERVICE Organ Prelude was played by Mrs. Barry Millian and the children and teachers of the Sunday school put on the service under the direction of Mrs. Allan Webster and Mrs. Fred Lawrence as pianist. Call to Worship was by Mrs. Webster. Carols were sung and the lighting of the first Advent candle was lit by Susan Dobie. The minister Gary T. Shuttleworth told the story of the Advent candle and readings of the Scriptures by Grade 5 with responsive readings by Grade 2 who were dressed as shepherds and angels. Complete proj ect The Port Albert Pastry People 4-H Club recently completed its basic baking pro- ject by attending Achievement Night at Brookside School. Each club had an exhibit and took part in various activities such as judging, quizzes and tasting different kinds of milk. Teresa Mariam and Lisa Scott recieved a.Trilliun pin for completion of six projects. Other members successfully completing this project were: Marcia Boak, Debbie 1)ebold, Tracy Black, Laurie Hayden, Dawn .Juergens, Jean McWhinney. Wendy Miltenburg, Roger Miltenburg, Lorna Yount; and Monica Young. The group's spring project will be Eti- quette for the '80s.
