Lions lose to Parkhill, edge Strathroy 3-2
The Goderich Lion peewees split (wo
road games last weekend as they were
upset 5-2 in Parkhill Friday but rebounded
with a 3-2 win over Strathroy Saturday.
In Parkhill, the Iions' coaches fears of
taking the lowly placed Parkhill team for
granted were realized. Before they knew
it. Goderich found' then, selves trailing 3-0,

the road in Shamrock League play this
week and dropped a tough 3-2 decision In

The Atoms rebounded Saturday with a 4-
1 win over Parkhill.

goal, gave the Lions a good jump on
Strathroy. However, in the second period,
Strathroy scored two goals to r tie the score.
In the last three minutes of the game,
with Goderich playing two men short,
Strathroy tried frantically to tie the score
but Goderich goaltender Pat Donnelly
turned in a strong performance.
Shamrock play
Goderich scored one goal in both the first
and second periods and clinched the win
with two goals in the final period.
Jeff Beange scored the first Goderich
goal midway through the opening period
and Paul Wheeler boosted Goderich into a
tow -goal lead with an unassisted effort
Parkhill got back in the game scoring un
