Goderich Library last Friday afternoon. Leonard Jamieson, of Clinton had his blood pressure checked by public health nurse Madeleine Roske, of Goderich. The event was co- sponsored by the Huron County health unit and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. ( photo by Susan Hundertmark) Goderich woman dies JUDITH ANN FRIiSBY Judith Ann (Judy) Frisby of St. Catharines and formerly of Goderich died in St„ ;Catha!u►eson NMpnday,, Nove;rnber 18, 1985 at the age of 24. Born in Georgetown on July 25, 1961, she was a daughter of Kenneth Frisby and Margaret Duff of Goderich. She is survived by her parents, two brothers, Rick and his fiance, Marianne of St. Catharines and Lee of Goderich, and her grandmother, Sarah Duff of England. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Frisby and John Duff. The funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21, 1985 at 11:30 a.m, at the George Darte Chapel in St. Catharines with Rev. V. Ziucic officiating. Pallbearers were Ken Frisby, Lee Frisby, Jim Botsford, Rick Neprily, Derek Bergstrom and Brandon Brooks. Burial followed in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. 1 INTRODUCING... An Ashfield Township farmer he was a member of Christ Anglican Church, Port Albert and the Morning Star Lodge 309 A.F. and A.M. for the past 53 years. He received his 50 year Jewell in 1982. Born in Ashfield Township on March 2, 1908 he was a son of the late James Hayden and Elizabeth Bennett. He was married to the former Irene Carr who predeceased him. He is survived by two sons, James and his wife, Donna and William and his wife Barbara, all of Ashfield Township and four grandchildren, Laurie, Linda, Dan and Della. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Percy and Stanley. Morning Star Lodge 309 held a Masonic Memorial Service at McCallum Funeral Home in Goderich on Friday, November 22, 1985. The funeral service was held on Saturday, November 23. 1985 at 2 p.m. from the MrCallum Funeral Home in Goderich with Rev. Robert J. ('rocker of Christ Church officiating. Flowerbearers were Jack Graham, Harold Adams. Frank Doherty and Elwin Petrie. Pallbearers were Gordon Dougherty, Jim Graham. Fred Crawford, Doug Young, Brian Draper and Jim Bennett. Burial in Dungannon Cemetery. GEORGE ALBERT VANDERBURGH SR. George Albert Vanderburgh, Sr., of Goderich died at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich on November 20, 1985 in his 75th year. Employed by Guenther Tuckey Transport from 1944 - 1959, Mr. Vanderburgh was then employed by Domtar Limited ( Mine) until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of Victoria Street United Church. Born in Goderich Township on January 19, 1911, he was a son of the late Thomas Wesley Vanderburgh and Ila May Proctor of Clinton. He married the former Evelyn Dale on June 22, 1931 at Wesley Willis United Church, Clinton. He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Marion, Mrs. Harvey Hodge of Port Albert; Mildred, Mrs. Charlie Johnston of Nile; Patricia, Mrs. Keith Good of Goderich and Diane, Mrs. John Buchanan of R. 6, Goderich and two sons, George and his wife, Brenda of Goderich and Dennis and his wife, Valerie, 17 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A brother Ken of Goderkih and a sister, Donelda, Mrs. Cliff McClinchey of Clinton also survive. He was predeceased by a sister, Isabelle. The funeral service was held at the Stiles Funeral Home in Goderich on Friday, November 22, 1985 at 2 p.m. with Rev. John D. M. Wood officiating. Pallbearers were Bud Oke, Joe Rumig, George De Jong, Elgin Chambers, Laverne Powell, all of Goderich and Bill Johnstone of Burlington. Burial followed in Maitland Cemetery. risf
