BECKER-WESTERHOUT
Meikel7 Juergen Recker, son of Juergen and
Edna Becker of Goderich, and Shelley
Margaret Westerhout, daughter of Tiel and
Sandra Westerhout of RR1 Clinton, were
Married at Wesley Willis Church in Clinton
on October 12. Rev. James Bechtel of-
ficiated. The soloist was Barbara Bosman.
The matron of honor was Una Armstrong of
Stratford. The bridesmaids were, Sylke
Hickey of Auburn, sister of the groom, Barb
Forbes and Cheryl Armstrong, both of Clin-
ton. The junior bridesmaid was Cindy
Westerhout of Whalen Corners, cousin of the
bride. The best man was George Hickey of
Auburn, brother-in-law of the groom. The
ushers were, Gerald De Graaf of Auburn,
Larry Henry of Nile, and Brad Westerhout
of RR1 Clinton, brother of the bride. After a
reception at the Goderich Township Hall,
the couple honeymooned in Montego Bay,
Jamaica. Mr. and Mrs. Becker will reside in

REININK-SEERS
Bert Reinink and Carol Seers were married
Saturday Nov. 2, 1985 at Blyth Christian
Reformed Church by Rev. Roger GelwIcks.
The bride is the daughter of Bill and Maxine
Seers of Auburn and the groom is the son of
Frank and Coble Reinink of RR 4 Walton.
Matron of honor was Faye Preist, sister of
the bride, of London, and bridesmaids were
Gail Reid, sister of the bride, of Hensall and
Patti Stewart, cousin of the bride, of Lon-
don. Junior bridesmaid was Andrea
Reinink, niece of the groom, of Palmerston,
and flowergirl was Frances Reinink, niece
of"the groom, of Brussels. Best man was
Carl Van Klavern, friend of the groom, of
Wyoming, Ontario, and ushers were Gary
Nonkes, friend of the groom, of Blyth, and
Fred Reinink, brother of the groom of Alma.
Junior usher was Jeremy Reid, nephew of
the bride, of Hensall, and ringbearers were
Jeff and Scott Reid, nephews of the bride, of
Hensall. A reception was held -at the Blyth
Community Centre. Following a wedding
trip of Florida the couple is residing at RR 4,

Dungannon UCW meets
Our "Secret Friend" meeting was held
at the church at 7 p.m. on Nov. 17.
The blessing was sung and a delicious
dessert luncheon was enjoyed by all. Nora
Launders opened the program with
reading Psalm 91. Then a skit "Time and
Talent" was presented by seven ladies. In
the skit an interviewer explained how to
use our talents towards better steward-
ship. It was a thought provoking skit.
"My Mother was never a kid" was a film
shown by Mary Bere. This was about a
teenager who was not understood by her

parents. Through some incident she reliv-
ed a portion of her mother's youth. After
recovery, the relationship between them
was greatly improved. A sing song of
Christmas carols Mary Bere accompany-
ing on the piano was enjoyed by many.
A gift was then presented to Donna Alton
and Mary Bere in recognition of their long-
time service to the Dungannon U.C.W.
Then the secret friend gifts were exchang-
ed and displayed. Each member of the
group told whb had been their 1985 friend.
POWELL—SKIRTEN
Victoria Lorraine Powell, daughter of Vic-
tor and Edna Powell, of Goderich and Eric
Bruce Skirten, son of Robert and Eileen
Skirten, of RR6 Goderich were married Oct.
19, 1985 at St. George's Anglican Church
with Rev. Crocker officiating. Matron of
honor was Sue MacAdam, the bride's sister
and bridesmaids were Kris Skirten, sister of
the groom, Bonnie Reid, friend of the bride
and Ramona Feagan, friend of the bride.
Flowergirl was Angela MacAdam, niece of
the bride and ringbearer was Benjamin
MacAdam, nephew of the bride. Best man
was Larry McGee, friend of the groom and
groomsmen were Bryan and Paul Skirten,
brothers of the groom, Brent Little, friend of
the groom and Trevor Erb, friend of the
groom. Vocalists were Mari Anne Spink and
Larry Hutchins and master of ceremonies
was Dave Powell. The reception was held at
the Royal Canadian Legion and relatives
and friends came from Nova Scotia,
Manitoba, Indianapolis and Havana, Cuba
to attend the wedding. After a wedding trip
to Florida, the couple will reside at RR6
