The Booster Club held a very successful
bake sale and bazaar on Saturday at the
Community Hall with 30 exhibitors showing
their crafts.
Knox United Church
The organ prelude was done by Mrs. Gor-
don Gross and the choir sang "Seek Ye
First" accompanied by Steven Millian on
saxophone and Mrs. , Barry Millian as
pianist.
Junior congregation was run by Mrs. Fred
Armstrong, Donna Lynn, Ruth Anne Arm-

The . November meeting of the
Presbyterian Women's:Missionary Society
was held at the home of Mrs.. Donald Cart-
wright. The president Martha Deer welcom-
ed all present.
The devotional period was run by . Viola
Raithby who held the meditation on
Remembrance Day. Frances Clark had the
study and gave the topic on Ecuador Sight
and Insight.
The next meeting will b e at the home of
Frances Clark.
Robindale's is site for party
Kenneth Wilkins of Ridgetown, son of
Charles and Mayme Wilkinson, was home
on the weekend with his parents.
Weekend visitors with Rhetta MacLennan
were her daughter Florence MacLennan
and her friend Shirley, both of Kitchener
and son, Donald and his friend, Audrey of
Clinton. Saturday the family took Rhetta to
Robindale's in Goderich for a birthday din-
ner. Some of the people present were Jack
and Annette MacLennan, Johnnie and his
friend, Jackie of Stratford; Margaret Mor-
ton, Leena and Jason and a friend from
Point Clark. On Sunday Rhetta was a dinner
guest at the home of her granddaughter,
Patsy Hawkins and family in Kincardine.
Weekend visitors with Dorothy (D.A.)
MacLennan were Finlay MacLennan of Kit-
chener, Margaret (Bubbles) Heffernan,
Katie Sutherland and Christine MacFadgen
of London.
The community will be sorry to hear that
the barn on the farm of Bill Wilkins was
destroyed by fire November 10. It was for-
tunate that the wind was in the right direc-
tions so the buildings could be saved.
Cecil Webster and a couple of former
school chums from Kitchener spent the
weekend in Richfield, Ohio and visited with
Cecil's sister, brother and Tricia Wise.
Mrs. Gordon Robb spent a couple of days
with her daughter, son-in-law and grand-
children, Bob and Sandra Darling in
Hanover.
UCW learns about Korea
The monthly meeting of the UCW of the
.Pine River United Church met the evening
of Nov. 12 at the home of Margaret Reid at
Point Clark.
President Ruth Farrell opened the
meeting with a poem. The roll call was
answered by naming some trivial thing that
had been learned on the study of Korea.
Norma Humphrey read the minutes of the
last meeting. The nominating committee
gave their report on the progress they had
made. Business was discussed and the
meeting was then turned over to the con-
venors, Joyce and Muriel Courtney.
Joyce Courtney gave a reading on
Remembrance and then led the 19 ladies
present in prayer.
Muriel Courtney gave a reading on the ups
and downs of the churches in Korea since
their beginning just over 100 years ago. It
was very interesting and at times must have
been very devastating. Joyce led in prayer.
New Zealand man is on exchange
Cletus Dalton and Gerry I.ogtenburg of
Ashfield Township and John Sunckell of
New Zealand staying with the Logtenburg
family on a young farmers exchange,
where guests of Ken Alton on Nov. 12. The
group went to the Royal Winter Fair in
Toronto where all enjoyed exhibits.
Happy birthday to Duncan C. Allan who
turned 80 years old. Duncan celebrated his
birthday at the home of Jean and Bob
Simpson of Kintail. Dinner guests were
Donald and Edith Simpson, Jack and Doris
Allan of Camlachie. Open house was then
held for Duncan as he received well wishes
from friends and relatives.

November. The jars were turned in from
this year's project.
There will be no December meeting as
members will meet with Unit II for a
general Christmas Meeting. Alt reports are
to be brought to that meeting.
