O'Connor says Grossman seemedio b6--
saying,"Get on My train or don't 'bather
O'Connor says Grossman was asked to
come to the Huron -Middlesex, riding: dur-
ing the campaign but he chose not to come
because most of the ridiing's, delegates
were Thnbrell supporters. He worked in
ridings with more undecided delegates.
Grossman could have chosen to reach
out and show he was willing to work with ,
Timbrell's supporters by coming here dur-
• ing the caiinpaign, he says.
Grossman can't afford to cast aside
those in the party who did 'not support his
leadership bid and he has a lot of work to
do to unite the party, says O'Connor.
"Grossman is intelligent enough to know
he has to woo rank and file support and it's
up to him to do it." says O'Connor, who is
extremely disappointed that the Tory Big
Blue Machine, which supported
Grossman, was successful in getting its
man elected leader of the party.
The Big Blue. Machine was the focus of
Timbrell's attack on Grossman. It was ac-
cused of being an exclusive backroom cli-
que that had cut the grassroots out of
decision-making during the last years of
former Premier William Davis' rule.
O'Connor wanted Timbrell to become
leader because he says Timbrell would
have reached out to the grass roots in the
party and made them a part of the
decision-making.
O'Connor says Grossman will be invited
to Huron -Middlesex before February and
it will be interesting to see if he will come.

Correction
In a caption under a front-page picture
in last week's edition of the Signal -Star,
dealing with the Remembrance Day
service in Courthouse Park, it was
suggested that a wreath was laid by Mrs.
Betty Westbrook, The Silver Cross Mother.
Westbrook , the Silver Cross Widow, was
not in the photo that appeared. The Signal -
Star regrets the error.
The Goderich Women's Institute served
the community for close to 85 years, not 75
years as reported on the Community page in
the Nov. 13, 1985 edition of the Goderich
Signal Star. At its final meeting in October,
the W.I. was treated to a fruit cake made by
Ivy Johnstone.
THANK YOU
I would like to thank all of those who voted for me
