Junior girls play in London
by Erin Robinson
The G.D.C.I. Junior Girls Vikings Basket-
ball Team played three games this past
weekend in a London tournament. They
dropped their first game against London
Lucas, the eventual tournament winners, 66-
57. In their second game, the Junior Vikings
first missed in double - overtime against
Sarnia Northern 45-43. Their final game was
against Ingersoll and the Vikings lost 60-24.
The Most Valuable Player Award for the
Vikings went to Jenny Allen who scored
over 50 points in the three games. The Most
Sportsmanlike Award was given to Maureen
Stapleton.
All the girls played well against top flight
competition and should do well in their up-
coming semi-final game against South
Huron.
