Cake
decorating
taught at
4-H meeting
Meeting seven of the 4-H club was held on
Oct. 21 at the Goderich Twp. Hall.
Ruta Powell did the club a great favor by
teaching a little bit about cake decorating.
After five minutes, everyone's mouth was
watering. By the time she was finished
members were virtually drooling all over
the place.
Everything she did was just perfect. All
the extra crumbs were taken off and the ic-
ing was smoothed out. The icing was white
and she put a 4-H crest on it in black, yellow
and green.
She got volunteers for tracing out the
crest ( with a toothpick) onto the icing and
for putting some of the icing on. The
members got a cupcake to ice and decorate
with black, yellow or green. It took < bout 40
minutes to ice ( for those who wanted it just
right) and about 40 seconds to eat.
Then the cake was eaten and really looked
too good to eat. The result was absolutely
awesome especially with the
lemonade/orange juice/gingerale punch
with the ice ring. It had frozen strawberries
on the top and frozen pineapple rings on the
bottom.
it was the best meeting ever.
