Wednesday, October 30, 1985, 2:00 p.m. - Victoria Public School APRIL & SUSAN ("Susan" from Mr. Dress -Up) present a dynamic and exciting blend of original songs, poetry and theatre with lots of audience participation. (For children in JK to Grade 3) Wednesday, November 20, 1985, 2:00 p.m. - St. Mary's SeparateSchool GENES (For children in Grades 7 & 8) With their -classical background, distinctive jazz influence and relaxed sense of humour, Genes will impress upon you their genuine love for their art. They are -- a group that will make your effort to see them worthwhile. They are new and fresh and anxious to sing their way into the hearts of those who appreciate something a little different. Wednesday, -December 11, 1985, 2:00 p.m. - Robertson Memorial Public School THE VICTORIA PLAYHOUSE CHILDREN'S TOURING COMPANY presents "A Christmas for carol", the story of a young girl who, caught up in the commercialism of a modern world refuses to believe that Christmas has any real significance. She runs away from home on Christmas Eve only to become lost in the woods and there, through a sprinkling of magic, the animals give her their own interpretation of Christmas. Through their songs and actions she discovers the true meaning of Christmas Spirit but not before becoming involved with villains, heroes and the inevitable close escape. (For children in Grades 4 -to 6) CHILDREN IN ALL THREE TOWN SCHOOLS WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE PROGRAM GEARED TO THEIR GRADE LEVEL FOR THE LOW PRICE OF $1.00. THESE PROGRAMS ARE ALL EDUCATIONAL AS WELL AS ENTERTAINING AND WILL BE A BENEFIT TO ALL CHILDREN. MORE INFORMATION WILL FOLLOW THROUGH THE SCHOOLS. The Children's Winter Festival is planned for February, April & May. Don't miss the show for the low price of $1.00. Information will follow in the New Year.
