Service of Praise is highlight
of Knox Presbyterian
Church Homecoming Weekend
In the midst of the Homecoming Week -
End on June 29 and 30 at Knox Presbyterian
Church, Goderich, will be the Service of
Praise on the Sunday at 10 a.m. The Guest
Minister for the occasion is The Reverend J.
Brown Milne of Calgary, Alberta, a can-
didate for the Ministry of the Presbyterian
Church in Canada, who was ordained in 1957
at Knox Church, Goderich. After ordination
he was appointed by the Board of Missions
to Whitehorse, Yukon, where he served
from 1957 to 1960. He accepted a Gall to
Medicine Hat, Alberta, in 1960 and served
Care Department in the Calgary General
Hospital where he still is employed. He and
his wife, Mavis, were married' in 1957 and
have four children ranging in age from 27 to
17. His wife has her own career as a travel
agent and is presently with Bay Travel,
Calgary.

Knox Church for the I-Ibmecoming Week -
End the following former members of Knox
Church who went into the Ministry will
assist at the Service: The Reverend Robert
M. Bisset, Forest, Ontario, The Reverend
there until 1965, followed by a Call to North Peter Walter of East -view Chtlrch,
Vancouver where he served until 1970. Hamilton, Ontario, The Reverend Alec Mac-
Donald, Aurora, Ontario, The Reverend Ed-
win G. Nelson, Bramalea, Ontario, and Miss
Julia Carruthers, a 1985 graduate of Ewart
College. The Service this Sunday is. at 10
d.m.
In 1970 he began a year's internship in
Clinical Pastoral Education at Riverview
Mental Hospital in Coquitlam, B.C. In 1972

Couple wed in double ring ceremony
Knox Presbyterian Church in Goderich
was decorated with white candelabras on
June 15, 1985 at 4:00 p.m. for the wedding of
Judith Anne Redmond and Donald Edward
Elliott, both of Goderich.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Muriel
McGuire of R.R•1-3 Goderich and the late
Donald McGuire and the groom is the son of
Mrs. Jean Elliott of Goderich and the late
Leonard Elliott.
Reverend Lockhart Royal of Knox
Presbyterian Church officiated the .double
ring ceremony.
Music for the ceremony was provided by
Ron Siddon brother-in-law of the bride. He
accompanied himself on his, guitar, he sang
My Only Love and during the signing of the
register he sang Evergreen. The organist
was Lorne Dotteier.
The bride was escorted and given in mar-
riage by her mother. She wore a floor length
peach coloured gown with a sheer jacket
trimmed with lace, with long sheer sleeves
and stand up collar. An A-line skirt trimmed
with lace and falling into a lace trimmed
chapel train. She wore a matching peach hat
with a large bow across the back with long
flowing ties.
The bride carried a cornucopia filled with
a cascade bouquet of large peach tiger lilies
with peach Queen Anne's lace and small
deep blue bells with ivy and babies breath
with long peach streamers. , -
Matron of honor was Mrs. Diane Stinson
of Goderich friend of the bride and groom.
She wore a long gown .of midnight blue
bridial satin with a matching blue hat trim-
med in white netting. She also carried a cor-
nucopia filled with light blue tiger lilies with
peach Queen Anne's lace with ivy and
babies breath with long light blue
streamers.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Elliott
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Wendy McGuire
of R.R. 6 Goderich sister-in-law of the bride
and Mrs. Deb Cadovan of Guelph daughter
of the groom. They were gowned identically
to the matron of honor and carried cor-
nucopias of the same flowers.
Flowergirl was Juliet Redmond daughter
of the bride. She wore a long white chiffon
gown trimmed with midnight blue bows. At
her waist was a blue flower and a long blue
belt that tied at the back. She wore midnight
blue flowers in her hair and carried a cor-
nucopia the same as the other attendants.
Groomsman was John McGuire of R.R. 6
Goderich brother of the bride. Guests were
ushered into the church by John Elliott of
Fort Erie brother of the groom and Ron Sid -
don of R.R. 5. Kincardine brother-in-law of
the bride. Ringbearer was Jamie Redmond
son of the bride,who wore a black blazer
with grey pants and light blue boutonniere.
The groom wore a silver grey tuxedo with
a white shirt trimmed with grey stripes and
a peach tiger lily with a bluff bell bouton-
niere. The ushers and groomsinan wore
black tuxedos with shirts, the same as the
goom with light blue tigettlily boutonnieres.
Following the wedding ceremony a dinner
was held at Robindales of Goderich. A wed-
ding reception followed at Saltford Valley
Hall with music by Country Companions.
'The bride's mother greeted guests wear-
ing a floor length raspberry red bridial satin
gown with sheer ruffled jacket and mat-
ching hat. She wore a corsage of pink
sweetheart roses.
The groom's mother attended wearing a
floor length dusty rose gown with a rose lace
top. She wore a corsage of deep red'
sweetheart roses.
The photographer for the day was Darrel
Elliott of Orono, nephew of the groom. The
wedding was also video taped by Doh Stin-
son of Goderich, friend of the bride and
groom.
Guests attended the wedding from Fort
Erie, Guelph, London, Toronto, Orono, New
Hamburg, Kincardine, Goderich and sur-
rounding areas.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Elliott are living at 121
Bennett St. W. Goderich, Ontario.
County Dairy Princess speaks to Dungannon WI
The June meeting of Dungannon Women's
Institute was held in the United Church with
15 members and 22 visitors, including 19
members of the Lucknow W.I. and the
Huron County Dairy Princess attending.
The president, Ila Crozier presided and
after welcoming everyone the meeting
opened with "The Ode", "Mary Stewart Col-
lect" and "0 Canada" with Roberta Linskill
at the piano.
Previous minutes were read and adopted.

tend the annual meeting of Homebound on
June 20 at Wingham and the District Picnic
at Clinton Park on July 8th at 1 p.m.
Everyone is to take dishes, cutlery, table
cloth, food and drink. Familes are welcome.
Mary Robson introduced the guest
speaker, Huron County Dairy Princess,
Miss Denise Nethery. The Madill High
School students told some of the highlights
of her term as Dairy Princess. She also
prepared a lovely fruit tray of fresh melon,

she gave each lady the recipe. She was
thanked by Donna Young and presented

Mary Robson gave a reading 'A Man
Grows Like a Tree' and Roberta Linskill on
her accordian accompanied the group as
they sang "You Are My Sunshine" and "I'm

Jean Errington gave a reading "Things to
Like" and also one about shipping cream •
