Minster, B.C., daughter of Don . and
Elizabeth Tymchen, of Winnipeg and
Charles\ Franklin Yot ng, of Vancouver,
B.C., son of Fred and Donna Young, of
Dungannon were married Mar. 30, 1985 in
'New West Minster with Rev. Jim Erb of-
ficiating. Maid of honor was Janet Morgan,
of New West Minster and bridesmaids were
Laurie Reid, of Winnipeg and Kerry
McEwan, of Winnipeg. Ed Mitchell, of New
West Minster was groomsman and, ushers
were Kevin Mazgalar, of Aldergrave, B.C.
and Bill Evans, of Goderich. The reception
was held at The Elk's Hall, New West
Minster, the master of ceremonies was Ben-
ji Leso'Ahe, of Surrey, B.C., and the music
was by Ron Ferrish, of North Ashfield, Ont.
After a wedding trip to Surrey, the couple
will reside at 550 Royal Ave., New West

shouldtell, us a. great deal about our rola-
tionsh'ip to the world.
We know that salt is :important for the
health of the body, The red corpuscles in the
blood need salt to carry oxygen, and then
the salt is converted to acid for the digestive
system. As salt is important to the health of
the body, so we Christians are important to
the health of the world. If all the salt were
removed from your body, it is doubtful
whether you could stay alive very long. If all
uls Christians were taken out of the world,
then it would be a very poor world. It would
be a'world where evilwas not restrained,
and where human life was deprived of the
"savour" of living Christians. It would be a
very dead world in many respects.
We also know that salt is a common
preservative. It stops meat from rotting -
which is why the (t processing companies
use so much of it. When Jesus says 'we aro
the salt of the et, he implies that this
world has a tends y to . o 1e. fo send

Centenarian dies at home for aged
GRACE GLUTTON
Grace Clutton, 47; of Goderich, died Mon-
day, Apr. 29, 1985 at Alexandra Marine and
General Hospital.
The daughter of the late James. David
Nivins and the former Muriel Ellen Smith,
she was born May 30, 1937 in West
Wawanosh Township. She was an assembler
at Sheaffer Pen Co. and a member of the
Worldwide Church of God.
Surviving are her husband Dougall Clut-
ton, four daughters Valerie, Mrs. Thomas
Van Hende, of St. Thomas, Brenda, Mrs.
Stephen Knapp, of Toronto and Lisa and
Penny, both at home, one brother Darrell, of
Pasadena, Calif., eight sisters Elsie, Mrs.
William Hardy, of. Belgrave, Margaret,
Mrs. Lloyd Brindley, of Saltford, Mary
Nivins, of Goderich, Adeline, Mrs. Clarence
Allin, of Colborne Township, Betty, Mrs.
Dave Sproul, of Dungannon, June, Mrs.
Murray Rourke, of Colborne Township,
Isabel, Mrs. Frank Doherty, of Port Albert
and Elmo, Mrs. Leonard Jenkins, of

OBITUARIES
West Wawanosh Township and Alex Nivins,
of West Wawanosh Township.
Funeral services were held on Thursday,
May 2 at McCallum Funeral Home with
Richard Wilding, of Worldwide Church of
God officiating., Interment Colborne
Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Keith Hardy, Doug
Brindley, Ralph Nivins, Paul Doherty,
Larry Allin and Scott Jenkins.
KENNETH LORNE MCNEE
Kenneth Lorne McNee, 39, of Dungannon,
died Monday, Apr. 29, 1985 at the Alexandra
Marine and General Hospital as the result of
an automobile , accident in Colborne
Township.
The son of Graham McNee and the former
Bessie Bere, both of Dungannon, he was
born Mar. 7, 1946 in Goderich.
He was a self-employed carpenter and
cabinet maker and was a member of the
Dungannon United Church,
Surviving are his parents, his wife the
former Lynda Reed, his children Timothy,
Michael and Kelly, all at home, two
brothers, Allan, of London and Eric, of Nile
and one sister, Donna, Mrs. James Hayden,
of RR3 Goderich.
Funeral servic e were held on Thursday,
May 2 at McCa ' Funeral Home with
Rev. Robert Ro s, of Dungannon United
Church officiatin4 . Interment Dungannon
Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Dave Bere, Gord
Riley, Ian Hackett,' Jack Alton, Brad Hum-
phrey and Harvey Sproul. Flower bearers
were Roger Pentland and Harold Errington.
GRACE KATHLEEN PROCTOR ' 1
Grace Kathleen Proctor, 81, of Simcoe,
formerly of Goderich, died Wednesday, May
1,1985 at Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe.
The daughter of the late Albert;B.own and
Ellen Allsworth, both of England, she was
born on May 7, 1903 in Buckhurst "Hill,
England. She was predeceased by her first
husband, John Henry Taman and her se-
cond husband, Cyril Proctor, formerly of
Goderich Township in 1984.
Surviving are one daughter Dorothy, Mrs.
Ken Adams, of Simcoe, , three sons Jack
Taman, of Rockwood, Michigan, William
Taman, of Houston, Texas and; James
Taman, of Florida, nine grandchildren, nine
great grandchildren and one brother Albert
Bown, of Lavonia, Michigan
She was also predeceased by one brother
Reginald Bown and one sister Dorothy
McLeod.
Funeral services were held Saturday,
May 4 at Stiles Funeral Home with Rev.
John D.M. Wood, of Victoria Street United
Church officiating. Interment Maitland
Cemetery:
Pallbearers included Ken Adams, Bill
Munn, Lynn Dugger, Charles Quinn and
David Quinn.
CNARI.F_S PERCIVAL DUNLOP
Charles Percival Dunlop, 100, of Huron -
view Home for the Aged, died Saturday,
May 4, 1985 at his residence.
The son of the late Hugh Dunlop and Kate
Stewart, he was born Sept. 23, 1884 in
Goderich Township. He was married to the
late Hattie Thompson in Owen Sound.
A sewing machine operator for T. Eaton
Co., he was also an adherent of the Free
Methodist Church.
Surviving are one sister-in-law, Winifred,
Mrs. Harrison Thompson, of Owen Sound,
one friend, Margaret Oliver, of Goderich
and several neices and nephews.
There was no funeral service. The
Funeral Home was Stiles Funeral, Home. In-
terrhent Greenwood Cemetery, Olken'
Sound.
Service restricted by strike
Ontario Hydro's services to customers
throughout the province will be limited for
the duration of the CUPE Local 1000 strike,

In Western recon, customers can still pay
their bills at ani Ontario Hydro office
between the hours on 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Since management personnel are able to
continue only the most essential services, no
new electrical connections will be made un-
til COPE local 1000 workers return to work.
Similarly, inspection services will be
limited.
Ontario Hydro apologizes for any inconve-
nience the ongoing strike is causing our
customers.
